Connecting
SMEMA/SV70
ATTENTION
Material damage
Connection must only be done by qualified personnel.
Perform the following work steps:
Connect the adjacent transport conveyors to the SMEMA/SV70
connection plugs according to the shown connection schematic
and configuration of the transport system, see section „Product
description“ > „Overview“ (Page 48).
SMEMA/SV70 is connected.
Linking the
inspection
system via
Interlock
ATTENTION
Material damage
Connection must only be done by qualified personnel.
ATTENTION
Operation malfunctions
Open Interlock connections can cause the system to stop.
The Interlock linkage connections must be plugged in.
DANGER
Confusion with safety circuit
The interlock connection does not meet the criteria of a safety
circuit connection!
The connections of the Interlock link may only be used to link
adjacent devices.
Perform the following work steps:
Connect the adjacent transport conveyors or systems to the
Interlock connection, see „Product description“ > „Interlock
linkage“ (Page 49).
The inspection system is linked via the Interlock.

Information
about the
network
connection
The system computer contains the network connection plug.
Connection to the company network is through a network cable via
RJ-45 connections in the available Ethernet network structure.
The RJ-45 connectors are pre-set to DHCP for connection to the
company's network. Converting the network card properties is only
required when fixed IP addresses are assigned by the customer.
Settings for the host name and domain membership have no
meaning for the inspection system function and should be adapted
to the requirements of the customer network.
Connecting
network
NOTICE
Connection to the company network and its configuration should
be done by the company's network administrator.
ATTENTION
Operation malfunctions
Incorrectly addressing the internal network will prevent the inspec-
tion system from functioning.
The connections X30 LAN and X22 are only for internal commu-
nication and must not be connected to the company network.
Perform the following work steps:
Connect the system computer to the company network with the
help of the current circuit diagram.
The network is connected.

First use
First use takes place after the inspection system is installed. This
section describes the steps for first use.
The work steps in detail:
Switching on the inspection system (Page 91)
Checking the safety features (Page 92)
Checking the Interlock linkage (Page 100)
Checking the SMEMA protocol (Page 101)
Checking the SV70 protocol (Page 103)
Checking the PCB transport (Page 104)
Checking the calibration (Page 105)
Checking the network connections (Page 105)
Checking the data transfer to the verification station (Page
106)
Checking the data transfer to the SPC server (Page 106)
Switching on the inspection system
The first step to first use is switching on the inspection system.
Switching on the inspection system is divided into the following
steps:
Switching on the system (Page 91)
Logging on (Page 92)
Switching on
the system
Precondition:
The inspection system is properly installed.
The verification station computer is switched on and has booted
up.
The external in- and outfeed conveyors are switched on.
Perform the following work steps:
1. Turn the main switch to
ON.
2. Press the white ON button.
The white ON button lights up.
All control elements are supplied with current.
? The white ON button does not light up?
The STOP mode is actuated.
See „Checking the Interlock linkage“ (Page 100)
3. Set the key switch to
ON.
