Power Breaker
This breaker is used to supply or intercept the power to the machine.
The power breaker can be locked with a padlock.
Nozzle Stocker Sections
These sections are provided with a mechanism by which the vacuum nozzles
can be stored.
A placement head moves to the area above the nozzle stocker according to
the pattern program and picks up a vacuum nozzle or puts it back in place.
Pattern Program
This program is composed of groups of regulatory data that can be used
to control the machine and specify the components and PCB used for the
automatic operation. This is sometimes called "Model" and must be created
individually for each production PCB.
A pattern program is composed of the following data.
(1)
Operation Data
This data is used to totally manage a pattern program and composed of
PCB data, PCB recognition data, ducial mark data, and setup data.
(2) Placement Head/Nozzle Data
This data is used to allocate a nozzle to the specied position (Nozzle
No.) on the head.
(3) Placement Feeder Location Data
This data is used to determine which feeder Nos. various types of
components (to be placed on the PCB) should be allocated to.
Component IDs (types of components to be allocated) must be specied
for each individual feeder bases.
(4) Placement Data
The set parameters are used to place the components (IDs in the
placement feeder location data) on the points with the specied
coordinates in the designated direction. One step is allocated for each
component to be placed.
(5) Handling/Placement Data
This data is based on the above-described data (1) through (4) and
created through the optimization process. The displayed data shows the
order of component pickup and placement actions.

[EMERGENCY STOP] Switches
These switches are used to stop the machine immediately in an emergency.
When one of these switches is pressed, the power to the machine is
intercepted and the machine stops immediately.
Bank Feeder Change Carts
These carts are used to install the feeder bases to the main body of the
machine. By using a bank feeder change cart, it becomes possible for the
whole body of the feeder base to be replaced with another one at a time.
When the feeders are prepared on the spare cart, a change cart can easily be
replaced with the spare one, greatly shortening the time of a model change
operation (feeder replacement).
Alternate Feeder Function (Mode)
When component shortage is occurred or a feeder has trouble and the
components cannot be picked up subsequently, the alternative spare feeder
(prepared in advance for frequently used component types) selected to
continue the automatic operation. In this case, another slot No. across the
front and rear beams can be selected.
Feeder Ready Switches
These switches are used to indicate that the feeder bases are set ready and
each switch is employed in four feeder blocks.
The feeder bases are provided with "Clamp Lock Mechanism". This
mechanism physically prohibits any attachment or detachment of a feeder
while the machine is running in order to avoid any collision (crash accident)
of the machine that might be caused when a feeder (used for automatic
operation) is detached inadvertently while the machine is running (the beams
are moving).
When one of these switches is pressed, the LED turns green, indicating that
the feeder is set ready, and the feeder clamp holding bar (swinging type
driven by the cylinder) is driven and locked.
Component Carriage Data Edit Function
The function enables the operator to easily change the component carriage
data in the current pattern program. This can be used when the packaged
posture of the supplied component differs from that of the component being
used so far due to unavailability, etc.
Only the limited data for the packaged posture can be changed.

Component Recognition Sections
Each beam has a component recognition camera and a light source for
illumination within its coverage area. The camera and the light source are
used to inspect (recognize) the component picked up by a vacuum nozzle.
These sections are provided with front and back lighting systems. In the front
lighting system, the bottom surface of a component is illuminated directly
from under the component and the reected image is captured. In the back
lighting system (ring lamps), the diffusion plate is illuminated from under
the plate and the penetrated image of a component is captured.
Component Library
The component library is a database used to manage the specic information
(data) on components required for operations of the component placement
machine.
Auxiliary Lamps
An auxiliary lamp is installed on each block.
The auxiliary lamps indicate in which block the machine status (indicated by
the tower lamp) is generated.
Pointing Device
This device is used to indicate where the pointer is on an operation window.
A track ball is used as a pointing device for this machine.
