3. Y-axis
This section describes the maintenance related to Y-axis.

CAUTION
Y-axis doesn't require to be applied grease on.
Do not apply grease, which can cause the tooth jump, rattling, and abnormal noise.
3.1 Cleaning the stainless rails of Y-axis.

Turn the machine off.

Move the handler down most on
Y-axis.
Open a side door, then move the handler
down most on Y-axis by hands.

Clean the stairless rails.
Use cleaning wiper with a little IPA to clean
the stainless rails of Y-axis on both sides.

Move the handler up most on
Y-axis.
Move the handler up most on Y-axis by
hands.

Clean the remaining parts of the
stainless rail.
Use cleaning wiper with a little IPA to clean
the remaining parts in Step3.

Move the handler to Initialization
standby position.
Move the handler to Initialization standby
position by hands.

Move the handler on Y-axis to the
place where it is easy to work.
Open a side door, then move the handler a
little upper from the middle on Y-axis so that
it is easy to work.

Clean the carrier wheels of Y-axis.
Use cleaning wiper or cotton swabs with a
little IPA to clean the four carrier wheels of
Y-axis slider in each side (total 8 wheels).
Clean whole circumference of wheels with
moving the handler on Y-axis

CAUTION
Clean only the parts of wheels which touch in the rail.
Be careful not to put alcohol on bearing parts of the
wheels.

Move the handler on Y-axis to the
place where it is easy to work.
Open a side door, then move the handler a
little upper from the middle on Y-axis so that
it is easy to work.

Check if the Y-axis sliders don't
rattle.
Move the handler up and down on Y-axis.
If the Y-axis sliders rattle, or don't move
smoothly,adjust the distance between the
slider and its carrier wheels by the following
procedure.

Check if the nuts fixing carrier
wheels are tightened securely.
Use a hex wrench (4 mm) and a wrench (13
mm) to check if the nuts fixing carrier wheels
are tighten securely.
If they are not tighten enough, use a wrench
to tighten nuts with holding carrier wheels
with a hex wrench.
Check the nuts fixing carrier wheels.
