3.5 Instrument security procedures

Deals with security issues when working with the R&S LCX in secure areas. It is avail-

able for download on the internet.

3.6 Printed safety instructions

Provides safety information in many languages. The printed document is delivered with

the product.

3.7 Specifications and product brochures

The specifications document, also known as the data sheet, contains the technical

specifications of the R&S LCX. It also lists the firmware applications and their order

numbers, and optional accessories.

The brochure provides an overview of the instrument and deals with the specific char-

acteristics.

3.9 Calibration certificate

The document is available on https://gloris.rohde-schwarz.com/calcert. You need the

device ID of your instrument, which you can find on a label on the rear panel.

software version, and describe the software installation.

4 Getting started

This section contains the same information as the getting started manual.

4.1 Preparing for use

Here, you can find basic information about setting up the product for the first time.

4.1.1 Lifting and carrying

See "Lifting and carrying the product" on page 10.

4.1.2 Unpacking and checking

1. Unpack the R&S LCX carefully.

2. Retain the original packing material. Use it when transporting or shipping the

R&S LCX later.

3. Using the delivery notes, check the equipment for completeness.

4. Check the equipment for damage.

If the delivery is incomplete or equipment is damaged, contact Rohde & Schwarz.

4.1.3 Choosing the operating site

Specific operating conditions ensure proper operation and avoid damage to the prod-

uct and connected devices. For information on environmental conditions such as ambi-

ent temperature and humidity, see the specifications document.

Electromagnetic compatibility classes

The electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) class indicates where you can operate the

product. The EMC class of the product is given in the specifications document.
