4. General Caution Items
Basic items that need to be followed to handle the device are explained.
4.1 Work qualification
Those who conduct operation and maintenance work of the machine must receive the necessary training on
handling of this machine, and fully understand the operation beforehand.
Especially for the electric related work, only those who have the certain qualifications (Example: Licensed
electrical chief engineer) specified by law should perform.
4.2 Operation manual
It should be placed in a designated location near the machine for people to allow easy access and managed by
assigning a person responsible for maintaining the manual.
4.3 Management system
Determine a person responsible for safety management, and conduct safety education of workers periodically.
Also, check the work environment for safe operation, and always attempt for safety improvement.
If an accident happens, stop the machine promptly, investigate and record accident cause and accident
condition, and contact YAMAHA or agent.
4.4 Clothing and protective equipment
When conducting maintenance, wear necessary items (protective cap and safety shoes), and protective
equipment (safety glasses, etc.).
Do not wear gloves, rings, bracelets, wrist watches, and loose clothing that can cause trapping and pinching.
Also, make sure to bundle long hair and protect with a protective cap to avoid trapping.
4.5 Emergency stop button
Make sure all workers know and understand the position of emergency stop button installed on this machine
and how it works.
Also, specify in-company contact procedure and measures to take when an emergency happens beforehand in
the company regulations.

Note
When the emergency button is pushed, all operations of the device stop promptly. To release the emergency stop
condition, turn the switch clockwise.

Malfunction may occur in case of power outage, emergency stop, and device failure. After restoration, always
perform a general inspection.

Please note that we are not responsible for damages caused by repair, disassembly, remodeling, etc. by third parties
other than YAMAHA and agents.

DO NOT OPEN THE SAFETY COVER DURING OPERATION.
WHEN OPENING THE SAFETY COVER FOR REPLACEMENT AND INSPECTION, PERFORM ONLY AFTER SHUTTING DOWN THE
POWER SOURCE AND VERIFY THAT THE DEVICE IS STOPPED.

INSIDE THE CIRCUIT REMAINS CHARGED FOR A WHILE EVEN AFTER THE POWER SOURCE IS SHUTDOWN. WHEN HANDLING
THE CHARGED PART FOR A MAINTENANCE WORK, WAIT FOR 5 MINUTES OR MORE AFTER THE PRIMARY POWER SOURCE IS
SHUT-DOWN COMPLETELY, AND THEN PERFORM YOUR WORK.

WHEN PERFORMING MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT WORK OF THE DEVICE, CONDUCT AFTER MAKING SURE THERE ARE
NO PRODUCTS ON THE CONVEYOR.
THEN PUT THE COVER REMOVED FOR MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT BACK ON, AND TURN THE POWER BREAKER ON.

CAUTION
This machine uses various electronic equipment; therefore, when conducting a withstand voltage test and an
insulation test, make sure test voltage is not applied on this equipment.
Discarding personal computer

A lead battery is used for UPS in the personal computer. Discard it appropriately according to the regulations of your
area.
