Notes : (a) Irregularly-shaped components can also be used when an op-
tional device is provided.
(b) Some components cannot be used due to the mechanical charac-
teristics. Consult our marketing department or agency for details.
6. Number of
Stocked Trays
Max. 9 trays/pallet
Max. 10 pallets/magazineL × 2 magazines
Notes : (a) A special plate is required to set the trays depending upon the
number of stocked trays.
(b) The number of installable pallets is limited, depending upon the
tray height.
7. Total Mass of
Magazines
Max. 17.5 kg/magazine
Total Mass per Pallet (Reference Mass)
(Tray + Component + Tray Fixing Metals) + Pallet Dead Load
= Max. 0.58 kg + 0.42 kg
= Max. 1.0 kg/pallet
Max. 10 pallets/magazine
Note: When the total mass per magazine including pallets of great mass
exceeds 15.8 kg, the maximum number of installable pallets may
become less than 10. Consult our marketing department or agency
for details.
8. Magazine Batch
Replacement
Magazines (10 pieces of pallets stored) can be replaced in batches.
9. Magazine Sepa-
ration Function
The section where magazines are installed can be separated at the upper or
the lower end of the elevator, making it possible to replace magazines or trays
while the machine is running.

3. Functions
3.1 Direct Pick-Up
The placement heads of the main machine pick up components directly from
the pallet pulled out from the multi-layer tray.
As a result, irregular-shaped component picks can be controlled elaborately
by using only the vacuum nozzles provided for the main machine.
3.2 Variable Pullout Speed of Elevator and Pallet
By setting the elevator and transfer speeds in the component library data,
the speeds of the elevator up/down movement and the pallet pullout action
onto the traverse can be changed when the posture of the components to be
fed is unstable.
3.3 Block Allocation Function
Up to 9 different pieces of component allocation data can be set for one
pallet.
When small trays are handled, additional types of components can be
allocated by installing several trays, increasing the number of components
to be used.
Moreover, not only grid-type trays but also staggered-type ones can be
handled regarding them as parallel-bank-arranged ones (overlapped grid-
type trays), making it possible to make flexible use of trays.
3.4 Application for Component Height “1 inch”
When handling a tray or component exceeding a height of “11.5 mm”,
remove the partition plate (even steps) from the magazine, which will then
enable handling of trays or components of up to 24.5 mm.
3.5 Magazine Batch Replacement
By replacing the current magazine with a magazine loaded with the required
components in advance, the replaced magazine makes it possible for compo-
nents to be changed collectively and swiftly after the set-up operation.
3.6 Carriage Alternate Function
The trays having the same type of components can be set on several stages
(pallets) in the magazines. Every time the machine gets empty of compo-
nents, it automatically selects another spare stage which stores the tray
having the same type of components, making it possible for the machine to
perform the operation continuously.
By providing several stages with a group of components used frequently
among the component types, an interval of component supply can be pro-
longed.
The order of the carriage alternate actions is based on the ascending order
(advancing from a smaller step No.) of the magazine step Nos.
