Inspection and maintenance
1. Precautions
For safe, effective inspection and maintenance, be sure to observe the
following precautions.
1. Periodic inspections must be performed by or under the direction of person
who has received training from YAMAHA or a YAMAHA dealer.
2. Always turn off the power to the machine before inspecting mechanical
components. If the power to the machine needs to be turned on during
inspection or maintenance, make sure that no part of anyone’s body comes
within the machine movement range.
3. Be careful not to allow any foreign matter to penetrate inside the machine
during inspection.
4. Use only the lubricants and greases specified by YAMAHA or YAMAHA dealer.
5. When replacing parts, always use only parts approved by YAMAHA or a
YAMAHA dealer.
6. Do not modify any parts in the machine. Modification may result in poor
specifications or threaten operator safety.

2. Inspection and maintenance
2.1 Daily inspection
Each time you turn on the mounters power switch, a daily checklist
appears on the operation monitor. Referring to the description below, check
the nozzles, leaf springs, nozzle holder, feeders, etc., on a daily basis to
prevent possible troubles.

BEFORE BEGINNING INSPECTION, ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE MACHINE IS
IN EMERGENCY STOP.
Nozzle tip
If solder adheres to the nozzle tip, the nozzle may be mistaken for a
component or other problems may occur. If the nozzle tip is nicked, pickup
errors tend to occur frequently. To remove solder from the nozzle tip, dip
the nozzle tip in IPA (alcohol) and clean it with a wire brush. Replace a
broken nozzle with a new one.
