What is the purpose of Feeder
Exchanged Workflow?
The Feeder Exchanged
workflow is being design to
cover the situation whereby
there is a 1 to 1 physical
feeder exchange/replaced
when sending in to repair.
The aim of this function is to
allow user the ability to track
the life span and history of
each individual feeder.
User would know which one
is the replacement feeder,
when it is being replaced
and how long it is being in
used.

16 Restrictions
16.1 Feeder Manager and Setup Center coexistence
Feeder Manager can work either with or without Setup Center.
If Feeder Manager Line Console and Setup Center GUI are installed on the same computer,
Feeder Manager will receive feeder and table events forwarded by Setup Center via OIB.
In this case,
a) If the version of Setup Center is equal to or below 5.x, Setup Center will only forward
the feeder events of those feeders that are inside the target setup. Therefore the group
of feeders that can be tracked by Feeder Manager will be limited within the setup
verification context.
b) If the version of Setup Center is 6.0 or higher, then Feeder Manager’s tracking of
feeders is not restricted to the Setup Center verification context.
If the user uses unforced verification mode, and manually restarts the Feeder Manager Line
Console Service, then Feeder Manager Line Console will stop receiving any feeder or table
event. To restore the event and tracking function, the user needs to restart Setup Center, so
that the necessary events can be fired again.
If Feeder Manager detects no Setup Center GUI on the same computer, it will attempt to
subscribe to the necessary events by communicating with the stations (online) and docking
stations (offline) directly.
Feeder Manager only functions with Setup Center whose versions are supported by
OIB.
