3.3 Dot plate
The dot plate is provided with this machine as standard and is used to correct the dispensing position (XY
deviation) after a nozzle is replaced. A removable ceramic plate is used as a board to dispense dots for position
correction.
The function for correcting the dispensing positions using this dot plate is called the “position correction
dispense function”. For more details on this function, refer to “4. Position correction dispense function” in
Chapter 4.
TIP
When the machine is equipped with a dot station, the dot plate is not installed in the machine since the dot station
also serve as a dot plate.
n
NOTE
The dot plate is only used with the “position correction dispense function” and the liquid dispensed on the dot plate
should be wiped away after use. When correcting the dot shape and liquid amount, an optional dot station will be
needed.

3.4 Dot station (option)
The dot station is used as a dummy board where the dispenser head performs predispensing, such as in the
following cases:
Dispensing for position correction
Performing a dot feedback to prevent a reduction in the dispensing dot size which may be caused
by a change in the remaining amount of dispensing liquid. (Dispensing amount correction)
Predispensing during dispensing task to stabilize the first dispensing from a head that has not been in
use for a long time. (Automatic predispensing)
A roll of special paper (automatically rolled up) is used as the dummy board on which predispensing is
performed. After a syringe is replaced with a new one, the first dispensing liquid can be dispensed into a liquid
disposal cup. Predispensing is performed on the dot station with the paper held by vacuum.
n
NOTE
For more details on the dot station, see "5. Dot station (option)" in Chapter 4.

Negative pressure indicator
This indicator displays a negative pressure used to hold the paper by vacuum. The color of the displayed value changes
according to the negative pressure level.
Green: Negative pressure level is appropriate.
Red: Negative pressure level is not appropriate. (An error will occur during predispensing.)
