2. Common Precautionary Items
Basic Precautions
z Only a well-trained person should operate the machine.
Do not allow any untrained person to operate the machine.
Mishandling of the machine can cause a serious accident.
z Before operating the machine, please read the instruction manual carefully for
correct operations.
z Please keep the instruction manual in a safe place within reach.
z Follow the instructions in the instruction manual for correct handling of the machine.
z Be sure to fully understand the contents of the safety instructions in the instruction
manual and follow the instructions.
z Please keep the precautionary items labeled on the machine or described in the
instruction manual.
When the precautionary items are ignored, it will result in personal injury or property
damage (damage to the machine).
z Be sure to follow the operational instructions described in the instruction manual.
z Do not modify the machine nor use any parts other than the specified ones. Be sure
not to use the machine with its safety devices detached. Doing otherwise may cause
personal injury.
z Do not perform any operations other than those described in the instruction manual.
Whenever a problem arises, regarding the machine operations, performance, etc.,
please contact the marketing department or sales agency of Hitachi High-
Technologies for the solution.
z Although the precautionary items have been reviewed repeatedly, an incident far
beyond our expectation may occur.
Not only follow the precautionary instructions described in the instruction manual but
also try to handle the machine carefully at your discretion all the time.
Be sure to strictly keep the above-mentioned instructions. Otherwise, not only wrong
operations of the machine but also personal injury will result.

Precautions before Use
Confirm that no covers are disengaged before operating the
machine.
If the machine is used with its cover(s) being detached, a
serious accident may occur.
Be sure to attach them in place.
Make certain that no person or object comes in contact with the
moving mechanisms of the machine. Then, check safety and
power up the machine to start operation.
Do not start the machine unless those working in the immediate
area of the machine are aware of hazards from moving parts.
Do not modify the machine nor use any parts other than the
specified ones. Be sure not to use the machine with its safety
devices detached. Doing otherwise may cause personal injury.
Do not change the settings of OS (Operating System) or install
any applications additionally.
Do not set the [OPERATION/SETUP] switch to the "SETUP"
side for any operations other than setup purposes.
When the switch is set to the "SETUP" side, setup operations
become possible with the safety door being open. It is very
dangerous to operate the machine without safety check. Be
sure to pay special caution while operating the machine.

Safety Precautions
WARNING
Be sure to handle industrial alcohol carefully because it is
inflammable and acutely toxic.
Keep industrial alcohol away from any heat of fire because it
can catch fire very easily.
It is also advisable that smoking or any heat source near the
machine be avoided.
Before starting the machine and after a setup operation, be
sure to check if any industrial alcohol is leaking from a crack of
the hose joint or the hose itself running between the solvent
tank and the cleaning nozzle.
Do not operate the machine while industrial alcohol is leaking.
Otherwise, the leaking alcohol may catch fire easily.
Refer to "4. Daily Maintenance" and "12.2 Checking of Industrial
Alcohol Hose and Joints" (Section 1 in chapter 3 (Vol. 2)) for
the areas to be checked.
Whenever a leakage is found, contact our service person.
Do not change the set pressure of the regulator that is used to
pressurize the solvent tank.
(Regulator Set Pressure: 0.01 MPa)
If more than the specified pressure is applied, the tank may
explode.

Before performing the automatic operation, be sure to remove
the selection key for the [OPERATION/SETUP] switch.
The key shall be kept removed (excluding the time of setup
operations) and stored by the person in charge.
