1.2 Adjusting the Applied Glue Volume
Two types of glue application parameters are used to regulate the applied glue volume:
one type adjusts the volume applied for all dots and the other type adjusts the volume
applied for an individual dot.
1.2.1 Changing Volume for All Dots
There are two methods available for changing the applied glue volume for all of
the dots:
Varying the application air pressure
Varying the application time
For both methods, press the following function keys in sequence:
[SET] -> [MANUAL] -> [GLUE] -> [G]
Press the function keys to select the air pressure feedback control value (for AirP.
Z1, Z2, Z3) or the G data feedback control value (for CG.Z1, Z2, Z3 ) with the []
[]keys. Then input those values from the numeric keypad.

For details refer to Part 3, Chapter 3, Description of Commands, page 523-100,
“Setting Application Time and Air Pressure”.
Note: The CG.Z1, CG.Z2, CG.Z3 values can be changed by changing the Proper data
items 113, 114, 115 G Correction Z1, Z2, Z3 and transmitting them to the
machine.
However, the air-pressure values set manually on the machine, AirP.Z1,
AirP.Z2, AirP.Z3, take precedence over Proper data. The settings do not
change when new Proper data is transmitted. The air pressure set by the
Proper data is referred to only when the machine memory is cleared by the
reset-start operation.

Particular application times (G data) can be changed by inputting values using
the [G] and [#] keys on the numeric keypad. This input can be made at any
time except during automatic operation.
Example:
To increase the G8 data by 20%, input: G 8 # 1 2 0 [CR]
This increases the glue application time from 80 ms to 96 ms.
Table of G Data Feedback Coefficients (%)
While holding down the rapid inching key [F], press the inching axis selection
key [2].
A table of G data feedback coefficients expressed in percentage form is
displayed, as shown above.
Press the [F] and [2] keys simultaneously once more and a table of application
times (expressed in milliseconds) appears. Press [F] and [2] again to return to
the original display.
Items unchanged from the original 100% are displayed in white. Items
increased to larger than 100% are displayed in purple and those decreased to
less than 100% are displayed in cyan.

Note: The feedback coefficients are cleared when the machine power is turned off or
when a new program is selected. Think of this as a way of being able to verify
revisions made to G data at F4G.
When G data is displayed in (ms) units of time, input can also be entered in
units of time.
Display in First Display Area
The screen above is displayed when the system is waiting for the START button to
be pressed to start automatic or step operation. The application time parameters
and the calculated glue application time are displayed.
