Place the magazine on the snap fastener balls (item 5 in fig. 8.1 - 7).
Press the magazine down evenly so that the snap fastener balls engage in all the snap fas-
teners at the same time.

Each magazine of the nozzle changer has two fiducials: one for determining the position and one
for determining the angular position.

8.1.3.1 Description
This nozzle changer can be used both for the CPP head and the C&P20 M head. The magazines
are fitted onto a common carrier pate, are fixed with two cylinder pins and fastened with 4 push
buttons. The exact position is determined with two fiducials on each magazine. The correct seat
of the magazines on the carrier plate is monitored by microswitches, to prevent a collision of the
placement head with any magazines projecting upwards. All 6 magazine locations must be filled
since the safety circuit stops the machine in response to missing magazines or magazines that
are not seated correctly. The nozzle changer also recognizes whether the nozzle magazine is for
20xx nozzles, a 28xx nozzle magazine for the CPP head or a 10xx magazine for the C&P20 M
head, by the nozzle magazine code.
If a SpeedStar is used, no nozzle magazines for the MultiStar may be used.
At the nozzle station, components can be rejected with an air blast from the MultiStar or SpeedStar
nozzles. Both MultiStar and SpeedStar nozzles can be stripped off there and disposed of in the
reject bin.
