Cut the used cover tape.
1. When the cover tape still remains, use the edge cutter installed behind the tail cover to cut off
the used cover tape.
2. Dispose the cut cover tape.

Note that the tail cover has a magnet to be caught to feeder body.

Disposing of used carrier tape
The used cut-up pieces of carrier tape are collected in the empty tape dust box as the production goes
on. Check the empty tape dust box from time to time and dispose of the carrier tape.

The feeder exchange carriage for YRM20 has the window to check inside the empty tape dust box and it enables to check
inside the box without pulling out to some extent. Check through this window upon partial checking.

4.1.6 Detaching the feeder exchange carriage
Detach the feeder exchange carriage from machine.
See "4.2 SS Feeder" of this chapter for the method of detaching the carriage with SS feeder from machine.

Press the emergency stop button.

Turn the clamp switch to the right (OFF).
Upon turning to right (OFF) the clamp switch corresponding to the detaching carriage, the clamp unit
of machine side moves up. The LED indicator of clamp switch blinks during moving up the clamp unit.
When the feeder is unclamped, the clamp switch indicator will go off.

CAUTION
While the clamp switch is blinking, do not touch the inside of machine or carriage.
The clamp unit moving down might pinch hands.

NOTE
When the emergency stop button is nott pressed, the clamp unit does not move up even the clamp switch is turned OFF.
