Fix tape guide assembly with tape guide front lever to clamp it.
c
CAUTION
Upon clamping the tape guide assembly, the squeezing of tape guide assembly into the tape guide front lever may wear
the claw of tape guide front lever. Make sure to lift up the tape guide front lever and then engage the claws of tape guide
assembly and tape guide front lever to clamp the tape guide assembly.

4.2 SS Feeder
n
NOTE
SS feeder is applicable with YRM20.
Though it is not recommended as the following limitation occur.
The non-stop feeder pulling out/inserting cannot be performed with SS feeder.
The production must be stopped once and the machine safety cover and upper cover are required to
open to attach SS feeder. Also, attaching the feeder exchange carriage with SS feeder to machine
requires to open the machine safety cover and upper cover.
SS feeder makes the mounting speed slower than that of ZS/ZSR feeders.
The component tape feeding speed of SS feeder is relatively slower than that of ZS feeder/ZSR feeder.
So, mounting with only SS feeders and even using with other feeders, actual mounting time is largely
changed from calculated mounting time with off-line software (YSUP-Mounter), as the machine operates
mounting at speed according to the component tape feeding speed of SS feeder.
c
CAUTION
Attaching the feeder exchange carriage that SS feeders are set without opening machine safety cover and upper cover
may damage equipment as SS feeder and upper cover interfere each other.

4.2.1 Setting SS feeder on the feeder exchange carriage
1
Clean the feeder plate.
Remove dust or foreign matter from the feeder plate using a feeder plate cleaning brush or so, as the
same procedure of Step 1 of "4.1.2 Setting feeders on the feeder exchange carriage" in this chapter.
2
Place a tape reel on the reel holder of feeder exchange carriage.
3
Set SS feeder on feeder exchange carriage.
1. Hold the bottom of SS feeder and pull the handle to near side of operator.
2. Confirm the setting position number written on carriage.
3. Place the feeder temporarily with its under rail aligned with the guide on the feeder plate side.
4. While keeping pulling the handle backward, slide the feeder on the feeder plate to surely insert
the feeder to the end.
c
CAUTION
Do not use excessive force of shock to the devices while setting the feeder.

Lock the clamping lever assembly.
The clamping lever assembly clamps and locks upon releasing the unclamping lever. Check that the
clamping lever assembly locks firmly and the feeder does not come off. The incorrectly locked
clamping lever assembly may cause the feeder come off while mounting.
