The PCB camera travels to the 4 corners of the search area and executes in each case a measurement com-
mand. For each executed measurement command the machine controller receives the fiducial quality from the
vision evaluation unit (MVS). The worst value (worst case) of the tests is shown on the monitor in the header
line. The quality level ranges from
–
0 = bad to
–
100 = very good
and should not fall below value of 40 for the fiducial and the ink dot. Otherwise we recommend you select
another fiducial.
NOTE
Here compare also the relationship between uniqueness and fiducial quality as described in Section 7.5.3.2
Option “New fiducial”.

7.5.3.6 Option “Move x / y axes”
When you select this option in the menu “Teach fiducial”, the station computer initiates the following actions:

The screen switches off the menu “Teach fiducial” and displays the video image. Here the current camera
position is displayed and the control panel option shown.

If there is a risk of crashing, the axis controllers are blocked.

After having selected the increment, selectable using the numbers 1 to 6, you can vary the camera position
of the gantry 2 using the arrow keys.
NOTE
Gantry 2 is always used as the default teach gantry. Gantry 1 can be selected using the Option “Choose
gantry” (see Section 7.5.3.9).

With “ESC” you can quit the option. The menu “Teach fiducial” is displayed once more.

When you press the “RETURN” key, following actions are initiated:
1. A board is on the input conveyor.
–
The conveyor belt starts up and transports the board as far as the stopper.
–
The board is clamped.
2. There is no board on the input conveyor.
–
You receive the message “No PCB on input conveyor”.
–
Insert a board.
–
Press RETURN in the menu.
–
The conveyor belt starts up and transports the board as far as the stopper.
–
The board is clamped.
NOTE
If there is a board on the center conveyor, this function will be blocked. You then receive a message that
there is already a board on the center conveyor.
