16 Segment leaky
CAUSE
●
O-ring on the sealing piston damaged.
REMEDY
●
Replace O-ring on the sealing piston.
18 Z axis not reaching placement or pick-up position
CAUSE
●
Position input not correct; motor/encoder of the z axis defective.
REMEDY
●
Check parameters for pick-up and placement in the MA_data, redetermine data; replace motor with
encoder, carry out calibration of the z axis. Cam disk not tightened up correctly.
19 Z axis not reaching 0 position
CAUSE
●
Cam disk not tightened up correctly; z zero point correction value incorrect; counting error.
REMEDY
●
Tighten up cam disk; recalculate z zero point correction; replace motor/tacho/encoder; carry out axis
calibration.
20 BERO for Z axis top position not activated
CAUSE
●
Sensing distance too great; Bero defective; cam disk not tightened up correctly; z zero point correc-
tion value incorrect; counting error.
REMEDY
●
Adjust sensing distance; replace Bero; tighten up cam disk; redetermine z zero point correction;
replace motor/tacho/encoder; carry out axis calibration.
21 BERO SZ1 not released (open segment)
CAUSE
●
Proximity switch defective; component jammed between screwdriver and segment;
motor of the screwdriver defective.
REMEDY
●
Replace proximity switch, adjust sensing distance; remove component; check toothing for damage;
replace motor with hub, carry out calibration on the motor control board.
22 BERO SZ1 not released (close segment)
CAUSE
●
Proximity switch defective; component jammed between screwdriver and segment;
motor of the screwdriver defective; Bero-to-pinion sensing distance incorrectly set.
REMEDY
●
Replace proximity switch, adjust sensing distance; remove component; check toothing for damage;
replace motor with hub, carry out calibration on the motor control board.

23 End position BERO of centering station not being activated
CAUSE
●
Bero defective; mechanism of the centering station stiff; recuperator spring worn out.
REMEDY
●
Fit new Bero; maintain centering station; call SMD Service.
25 Error in programming of the CRDL
CAUSE
●
CRDL tester configured in software, but tester itself not present; communication interrupted at the
CRDL tester; interrupt wiring of MC CRDL tester defective.
REMEDY
●
Set corresponding parameters (CRDL tester) to non-active.
26 Measurement trigger BERO of centering station is not released
CAUSE
●
Bero defective; mechanism of the centering station stiff; actuating plate bent; motor control board
defective.
REMEDY
●
Fit new Bero; maintain centering station; call SMD Service.
27 Component cannot be rejected
CAUSE
●
Positive airflow valve not switching, cable break at the valve
REMEDY
●
Check and repair wiring
28 The nozzle in the reject position is clogged
CAUSE
●
Nozzle worn, air duct of the segment blocked
REMEDY
●
Fit new nozzle, clean or replace segment
29 BERO SZ2 not released (open segment)
CAUSE
●
Proximity switch defective; component jammed between screwdriver and segment;
motor of the screwdriver defective.
REMEDY
●

30 BERO SZ2 not released (close segment)
CAUSE
●
Proximity switch defective; component jammed between screwdriver and segment;
motor of the screwdriver defective.
REMEDY
●
Replace proximity switch, adjust sensing distance; remove component; check toothing for damage;
replace motor with hub, carry out calibration on the motor control board.
38 Star axis does not reach setpoint position ?
CAUSE
●
Segment slit position incorrect at insertion; component jammed between toothed belt and toothed
belt pulley; speed was input incorrectly in the MA_DATA; power supply interrupted; motor defective;
belt tension not correct; segment cam is rubbing against the Z axis.
REMEDY
●
Insert segment with correct slit position; remove component; correct speed value correspondingly;
check plugged connections; replace motor, adjust toothed belt tension, carry out calibration of the
servo board; slacken cam leaf springs of segment and realign cam.
43 Component not at nozzle after pick-up
CAUSE
●
Suction face of the nozzle damaged; nozzle too small; component was not supplied.
REMEDY
●
Fit new nozzle; check component feed.
44 Component not at nozzle before placement
CAUSE
●
Suction face of the nozzle damaged; nozzle too small; jaws of the centering station bouncing; com-
ponent was not picked up properly; vacuum in the holding circuit too low; vacuum board defective.
