3.1.2 FM Head unit
The FM head unit has heads for picking up and mounting 5 components. This head unit is applicable to a
component thickness of up to 28 mm and suitable for large or odd-form components.

To ensure stable component pickup, the correct nozzle that matches the component must be used. The
following sections explain typical nozzles which can be attached to each head.

CAUTION
The nozzles are dedicated to Z:LEX (YSM20, YSM20W, YSM20R, and YSM20WR) and YS series excluding YS88. Do not use
the nozzles with other machines.
Type 307A nozzle can be installed only on the head 3 or 8 with the dedicated nozzle holder attached. Since the nozzle
interferes with the adjacent nozzle, the maximum nozzle diameter becomes

On machines equipped with nozzle stations, the nozzle types shown below can be set in the nozzle station to
enable automatic nozzle changes.
The drawings below show the nozzle station No. and the allotted head No. and mating nozzle type.
