4.2 Supply from fixed feeder bank
4.2.1 70-reel fixed feeder bank
A tape feeder or a stick feeder is set up on the feeder plate on the feeder bank. The feeder plate has a connector
for the feeder used for connections to supply the set feeder with electrical power and bridges signal exchange
with the machine. The inside of the feeder bank has a tape cutter to cut off empty tape and dispose of after
supplying components.

Harness connector for the QFP recovery conveyor.

An air connector for option devices, such as air blow tool. Connect an air tube with an outside diameter of

connector to supply the air from this machine to the option devices.
Harness connector
The connector of the harness for signals to use the QFP recovery conveyor.
The QFP recovery conveyor uses a power connector, too.

NOTE
here are three types of tape feeders: SS feeder, ZS feeder and Auto loading feeder. This machine is applicable with
any types. However the machine whose type is 70-reel fixed feeder bank needs to have the safety cover opened
when feeders are replaced.

4.2.2 Reel holder (option)
A reel holder is set in front of the 70-reel fixed feeder bank to load tape reels. The reel holder holds two 7-inch
reels in upper and lower rows. To load a tape reel over 7 inches, raise up the corresponding holder.
An empty tape dust box (option) is under the reel holder to dispose of used, empty pieces of tape.

4.3 Supply from feeder exchange carriage
4.3.1 Feeder exchange carriage
There are 2 types of feeder exchange carriages as standard, one is for SS feeder and the other is for ZS feeder. It
is possible to change the many feeders at once by changing the feeder exchange carriage.
Additionally, using the feeder exchange carriage for ZS feeder and ZS feeder enables non-stop feeder change
that can change feeders without stopping the machine.
Refer to section "4.3.2 Non-stop feeder change" for detail.

In addition to carriage for SS feeder and carriage for ZS feeder, YAMAHA offers carriage for "Nonstop feeder carriage
exchange system" that can change a carriage without stopping the machine. Note this system is a factory option and
cannot be added. If introducing Nonstop feeder carriage exchange system, contact Yamaha sales representatives
when ordering a machine.
