WARNING 4
Before lifting the placement machine, observe the following points to avoid causing irreversible
damage to the machine:
– The distance between the forks must be between 800 and 900 mm. The attachment points
for the fork-lift truck can be seen in fig. 4.2 - 4
. The outer distance between the machine feet
is 1120 mm. Make sure you do not increase the distance between the forks so that the place-
ment machine is lifted under the sides of the machine frame, as this would distort the machine
frame.
When lifting the placement machine, make sure that the forks are loaded evenly. A firm sup-
port surface between the fork and the machine prevents the machine from tipping over when
lifted. This will also prevent a one-sided load on the machine feet, which would deform the
fixing of the machine feet. We recommend that a second person monitors the lifting of the ma-
chine and ensures that the placement machine does not tip over to one side when lifted by
the fork-lift truck.
4.2.4.4 Points that Must be Noted When Transporting the Machine
WARNING 4
When you are transporting the machine, make sure that all the feet are clear of the floor. If the
machine feet should drag along the floor during transportation or hit an obstacle, this could dam-
age the fixtures for the machine feet in the placement machine!

4.3.2 Transporting the SWS in the Transportation Crate
4.3.2.1 Services
As a service ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co.KG offers you the complete integration of ma-
chines of the CA-series into the production line. With our extensive expertise and by using the right
tools and equipment, we can ensure that the installation process runs smoothly and efficiently.
However, this will require you to clarify the infrastructure aspects in advance and make any nec-
essary changes at your production facility.
Please note that the safest way to transport the placement machine is always in the transport crate
- or at the very least on the pallet. This will prevent serious damage to the machine caused by the
feet colliding with obstacles, for example.
4.3.2.2 Safety Instructions
WARNING 4
– The applicable accident prevention regulations concerning the transportation of heavy goods
must be followed.
– If you do not use the transportation equipment specified in section 4.3.2.3
to transport the
SWS, you will risk that the machine tips overs.
– In particular, you should wear safety boots to minimize the risk of crushing your feet.
4.3.2.3 Transportation Equipment
To transport the SWS on the wooden pallet or in the transport crate, use a fork-lift truck with the
following specifications:
Fork length: min. 1800 mm
Carrying power: min. 1500 kg
Clear width between forks: min. 420 mm 4
