4.5.4 Presetting the PCB Conveyor Height
Insert the forks of the fork-lift truck under the placement machine, as shown in fig. 4.5 - 1.

Before lifting the placement machine, observe the following points to avoid causing irreversible
damage to the machine:
– The forks may only be opened to a degree which ensures that they are still within the area of
the machine feet (for attachment points see fig. 4.5 - 1
, page 269). The distance between the
machine feet is 776 mm. Make sure you do not increase the distance between the forks so
that the placement machine is lifted under the sides of the machine frame, as this would dis-
tort the machine frame.
– When lifting the placement machine, make sure that the forks are loaded evenly. A firm sup-
port surface between the fork and the machine prevents the machine from tipping over when
lifted. This will also prevent a one-sided load on the machine feet, which would deform the
fixing of the machine feet. We recommend that a second person monitors the lifting of the ma-
chine and ensures that the placement machine does not tip over to one side when lifted by
the fork-lift truck.
Lift the placement machine about 35 cm with the fork-lift truck. This will avoid any risk of in-
juring your feet if you lower the machine feet accidentally.
The placement machine stands on 6 feet.
– 4 outer machine feet (item 1 in fig. 4.5 - 3
, page 272)
There are two versions of the outer machine feet: 4
– Outer machine foot for PCB conveyor height 830 mm,
length 369 mm, [03041008-01] (item. 1 in fig. 4.5 - 2
)
– Outer machine foot for PCB conveyor heights 900, 930 and 950 mm,
length 439 mm, [03000890-02] (item. 2 in fig. 4.5 - 2
).
– 2 middle machine feet (item 2 in fig. 4.5 - 3
, page 272) with 2 spacers (item 3 and item 4 in
fig. 4.5 - 3
, page 272) for height adjustment (if required).
