3.11 DX table on the SIPLACE DX4
In its default configuration, the SIPLACE DX4 has four DX tables which, if used with 20 SIPLACE
2x8mm X tape feeder modules, can be set up to achieve capacity of up to 40 tracks each for ac-
commodating component types.
Feeder module handling on these DX tables is basically the same as that on the changeover ta-
bles used with the SIPLACE SX4.

4.1 Transportation and Delivery Configuration
4.1.1 Shipping packaging
SIPLACE SX4 4
Within Europe, the machine and component trolleys will be shipped on two wooden pallets, pack-
aged in plastic film. Outside Europe, the machine and component trolleys are supplied in wooden
crates.
SIPLACE DX4 4
Within Europe, the machine is delivered on a wooden pallet and is wrapped in plastic sheeting.
Outside Europe, the machine is supplied in a wooden crate. The tape container and waste tape
container are packed and delivered with the other accessory parts.
4.1.1.1 Dimensions of the shipping packaging
The dimensions of the pallets and wooden crates are listed in the following table:

4.1.1.2 Weight of the machine prepared for dispatch
The following table contains the weights of the machines prepared for dispatch, including packag-
ing.

4.1.2 Checking a delivery
Store the machine in the packaging until room temperature has been reached. There is oth-
erwise a risk of condensation occurring.
Check the delivery for damage.
Check the shock sensors on the transportation crate.
Unpack the machine and the accessories and check the delivery for completeness (reference
delivery note).
Document the results in the installation report /acceptance protocol.
4.1.3 Configuration when delivered
4.1.3.1 SIPLACE SX4
The machine is configured as follows when delivered:
– The lanes of the dual conveyor are set to a width of 210 mm. This width setting will be impor-
tant when fine-tuning the machine.
– Both keyboards are disconnected and dismantled.
– Both monitors are dismantled.
– Both indicator lamps are dismantled.
– All the gantry axes are fixed with shipping braces.
