Main power switch 5
The main power switch is used to switch the power supply to the machine on and off.
WARNING
Some parts inside the machine carry potentially lethal voltages - even when switched off at the
main power switch. 5
Stop button 5
This white button is used to stop the machine.
Start button (green) 5
This green button starts the machine after it has been switched on or after faults have been elim-
inated.
EMERGENCY STOP button 5
The EMERGENCY STOP button latches in the ON position when pressed. The power supply to
the gantry axes, the component trolleys, conveyors and used tape cutters is interrupted and the
voltage supplied to the star axes of the placement heads is reduced. Turn the button to release it.
LCD touchscreen 5
There is a flat LCD screen with a touch-sensitive surface (touchscreen) on either side of the place-
ment machine.
Keyboard 5
The keyboard is located beneath the monitor.
CAUTION 5
Risk of collision on the monitor with keyboard
When working on the component trolley, there is risk that you could collide with the monitor and
keyboard.
– Turn the monitor and keyboard away to the side.
– Make sure that you are not under the monitor and keyboard with your head.

Indicator lamp - two color (white/green) 5
The sequence of colors of the indicator lamps is white - green. These lamps are used to signal
operating statuses and malfunctions of the machine. See also Section 5.7 on page 257.
Indicator lamp - three color (red/yellow/green) 5
The sequence of colors of the indicator lamps is red - yellow - green. These lamps are used to
signal operating statuses and malfunctions of the machine. See also Section 5.7 on page 257.
5.2.3 Ergonomic arrangement of the controls
Fig. 5.2 - 1, page 237 provides an overview of the position of the controls. They are subdivided
into the following groups:
Operator panel at location 1 5
– LCD touchscreen
– Keyboard with trackball
– start button
– Stop button
– Main power switch

5.2.3.1 Controls on the machine's operator panels
The two operator panel have identical control functions.
Monitor, keyboard, start and stop buttons 5
There is a monitor and a keyboard on both sides of the machine.
The start and stop buttons are located beneath the keyboard. The on-screen dialog will occasion-
ally prompt you to activate certain actions using buttons, and this arrangement will make it easier
for you both to activate and to interactively control these actions.
Main power switch 5
The main power switch is part of the power module. It is located here because it is only needed
for servicing and preventive maintenance work and is therefore not subject to frequent use.

5.3 Switching on the SIPLACE line
5.3.1 Starting the SIPLACE Pro Line Control GUI program
Start the program on the line computer SIPLACE Pro Line Control GUI
via the Windows Start menu
Start --> Programs --> SIPLACE Pro --> LCGUI
or
with the icon on your desktop.
Enter your user data.
The system connects to the SIPLACE Pro server and opens the user interface.
5.3.2 What to consider before switching on the stations
CAUTION
Before you switch on the stations, please perform the following steps. 5
Check whether the stations are connected to the power and compressed air supplies.
Perform a sight check of the stations. Make sure that there are no obstacles in the travel
range of the gantries.
Make sure that the Z axes of all heads are in their uppermost end positions.
