Conformity provided.
1.3.4 Use as prescribed
The product may only be used for the areas of application specified in the catalogues and techni-
cal descriptions i.e. for the placement of SMD components and may only be used together with
the third party devices and components recommended or approved by ASM Assembly Systems
GmbH & Co. KG. Use for a different or extended purpose is not prescribed.
In the case of incorrect usage, ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG will not assume liability
for any damage which occurs and will not guarantee the correct and proper function of machine
components.
Use as prescribed also includes compliance with all the instructions in the user manual.
For the product to operate correctly and reliably, it must have been transported, stored, erected
and assembled correctly and must be operated and maintained with care.
1.3.5 Failure to use as prescribed
Failure to use the product as prescribed can result in both danger to life and limb and material
damage. For this reason, used other than as prescribed is expressly prohibited. In the case of in-
correct usage, ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG will not assume liability for any damage
which occurs and will not guarantee the correct and proper function of machine components.

Use of the machine other than as prescribed includes, for example
– operation of the placement machine with safety equipment deactivated or removed.
– operation of the placement machine when the component trolley is missing or not docked.
– placement of components that do not meet the permitted specification.
– use of component feeder modules that have not been approved.
– use of unauthorized accessories and additional modules.
– use of the placement machine by unqualified personnel.
– operation of the placement machine without the hand guard (dummy feeder module) if not
every location is occupied with a feeder module.
– unclear allocation of electrical connecting cables to each machine and the installed options.
– if there are two or more people standing at a component trolley location at the same time dur-
ing the retrofit.
– persons standing on the cover plates and protective hoods.

1.3.7 Important notes on environmentally-friendly disposal of materials
and components
SIPLACE machines are preferably manufactured using materials and parts that can be easily sep-
arated and disposed of in an environmentally-friendly way.

The owner of the system has sole responsibility for the proper environmentally-friendly disposal
of machines, working materials, consumables and wear parts.
Please observe your national statutory provisions for waste disposal and environmental pro-
tection.
1.3.8 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
SIPLACE placement machines are designed and tested for professional use in industrial applica-
tions. Electromagnetic compatibility in terms of the emission of interference cannot be guaranteed
in any other environment.
