3.8 Features of LC GUI (V5.1)
3.8.1 Avoid redistributing components in Integrity Check
In the LC GUI the function "Avoid redistributing components…" is expanded.
The options "Avoid redistributing components…" and "Avoid changing placement sequence during
last optimizer run" require the same placement sequence and thus the same placement time.
Fig. Integrity Check
NOTICE
If the placement sequence could not be kept (i.e. by setup of an additional component),
the user will receive an error message.
NOTICE
In some cases there are different optimizer results for optimizer level OL2 and OL3.
– Boards with a lot of panels with fiducials
– Long Board Option (LBO) in step mode
Workaround: Before optimization or download select following options from the menu.
– Desk: Job Editor -> Configure… -> Siemens Optimizer Parameter
Optimization: Optimizer Level
– "Avoid redistributing placement position for each head" and
– "Do not change placement sequence"
– LC GUI: Integrity check: "Avoid redistributing components…"

3.9 Features of SIPLACE Vision (V5.1)
3.9.1 Optical Inspection of BGA components after Dipping
In SIPLACE Pro 5.1 the component shape editor has the option to check components after dipping
(Component -Editor -> Extended -> Inspect after dipping). This option is only valid for BGA
components and non-standard components. This option checks if all balls are covered with flux
medium or not.
The orientation of the component at the nozzle is checked.
Restrictions of the option "Inspect after dipping":
– This option is only for BGA and non-standard components.
– This option is only valid if "Dipping Vision" is selected.
This option requires station software 605 (with SIPLACE Vision V35) only.
3.10 Features in combination with SW 605 and SW 701 (V5.2)
3.10.1 Virtual PCB Stack for future station software versions
The new feature "Virtual PCB Stack" allows production of two boards with the same width but
different placements in one job. This option is valid for future software versions higher than SW 605
and SW 701.
In the recipe editor you have to define two boards on one conveyor lane. After having activated the
processing mode "Virtual Stack" the two boards lie on top of each other. Each board is provided
with a so-called "Detection Inkspot". By means of this inkspot the boards differ from each other and
by means of this marking the station loads the right placement program.
3.10.2 Higher nozzle capacity on SIPLACE D4
On SIPLACE D4 there is now a second nozzle changer row. This means you could use two nozzle
changers per location instead of one. This is valid for C&P heads with station software 605.
3.11 Features in SIPLACE Pro Desk (V5.2)
3.11.1 Simplified search function for opened objects in the editor
Each editor is provided with an object search function in order to simplify the search for objects you
are working on.
The opened object is localized and shown in the tree view. With the help of this function you quickly
find the opened in the tree view.

3.12 Features in SIPLACE Pro Optimizer (V5.2)
3.12.1 Display of travel areas and stopper positions in the Recipe Analyzer
The graphic display of all objects contained in a recipe is optimized in order to visualize even better
the numerous hardware combinations of placements heads, locations, travel areas and station
types.
– For stopper positions
– For travel areas for heads and segments
For the time being these features are only available in the licensed recipe analyzer of the SIPLACE
Pro Optimizer
You find more detailed information in the online help.
3.12.2 Memory optimized SIPLACE Multi Job Optimization
In the settings of the Multi Job Optimization of SIPLACE Pro Optimizer you can choose among two
options for optimizing long job lists:
– Main process: All jobs run in one process.
– Separate process: Each job runs in a separate process. For each job the whole virtual memory
space is available (default setting).
3.12.3 New sorting criteria for SIPLACE Multi Job Optimization
The Multi Job Optimization of SIPLACE Pro has following additional columns:
– Runtime
– Recipe Count
– Initial Setup
– Line
– Feeder Inventory
– Restriction
– Optimization Date
