U-type Locator - Edge Locator

Edge locator is used to locate the component body

by using the edge of body.

a. Pass Criteria

● AND Relation: All applied U-type algo must pass in order to pass.

● OR Relation: Any one of the applied U-type algo pass will consider

pass.

b. Horizontal Thres (um)

● Fail when the measured Horizontal Offset from datum exceed the

Horizontal Thres

c. Vertical Thres (um)

● Fail when the measured Vertical Offset from datum exceed the

Vertical Thres

d. Skew Thres (deg)

● Fail when the measured component rotation exceed the skew Thres.

● 1=1 deg

● Edge Ruler - Used to locate odd shape component

● Box Filter - Used to locate the component regular box shape

g. Low Contrast Mode

● Tick this when the component and its background having low

contrast.

h. Body Colour

● Light On Dark - Light component on Dark background.

● Dark On Light - Dark component on Light background.

i. Symmetric

● Only appear this option when select Edge Ruler.

● These are the types of 2D Lighting. Select the one with

having highest contrast among interested inspection region

and the background.
