1 Introduction

This instruction manual is a guide and reference for operating and setting up the SIPLACE

SX1/

SX2 Edition V2 and SIPLACE

SX1/SX2 Edition V3 placement machines.

The numbers in the type name indicate the number of gantries used. Each gantry has one place-

ment head.

The header of each chapter contains the release and software version, to which this manual ap-

plies.

This instruction manual applies in general for both the V2 and V3 editions of the

SIPLACE

SX1/SX2. If there are any variations, this will be marked clearly in the instruc-

tion manual. The diagrams show the SIPLACE

SX1/SX2 Edition V3 placement machine.

1.1 Important notes on the instruction manual

1.1.1 Contents and filing of the instruction manual

This instruction manual contains basic information that must be observed when setting up, oper-

ating and maintaining the machine. The service engineers, qualified staff, operators and users

plus system owner must therefore read it before commencing installation and commissioning. The

instructions must be kept permanently accessible where the placement machine is used.

In addition, the user must ensure that the employees have fully understood the contents of the

instruction manual.
