6.4.9.1 Safety features
EMERGENCY STOP button 6
After pressing the EMERGENCY STOP button, the entire system, with SIPLACE SX and Waffle
Pack Changer, is immediately stopped. After releasing the EMERGENCY STOP button, the entire
system can be restarted again by pressing the start button on the SX placement machine. Place-
ment can then be continued or terminated.

Safety door 6
When you open the protective door, the lifting axis and the feed axis of the Waffle Pack Changer
are stopped. When the door is closed again, the Waffle Pack Changer continues its operation.

Non-stop module (WPC6 only) 6
Waffle pack trays can be refilled or extracted during operations via the flap in the non-stop module,
without stopping the SIPLACE SX. The operating control indicates whether a waffle pack tray is
in the non-stop module, whether the non-stop module is empty or whether a waffle pack tray is
currently being moved.

PLEASE NOTE
Watch out for any incompletely placed PCBs.
CAUTION
Do not open the Waffle Pack Changer protective door while a component is being
picked up by the Waffle Pack Changer.
CAUTION
Triggering the emergency STOP by opening the flap!
If the operating control flashes, the waffle pack tray is being moved inside the non-stop
module and the activity has not yet been completed. Opening the flap triggers the emer-
gency STOP.
To open the flap, wait until the operating control is no longer flashing.

6.5 SIPLACE JTF-M

6.5.1 Description
The SIPLACE JTF-M is an automatic and fast changer for standard JEDEC waffle pack trays. On
SIPLACE SX1/SX2 machines, a JTF-M tray feeder can be installed on a fixed table instead of a
component trolley. The SIPLACE JTF-M occupies a fixed area of tracks on the fixed table. Linear
feeders, Glue Feeders or LDU-X can be used on the free tracks.
Depending on the magazine type, the SIPLACE JTF-M stores up to 18 thin or 14 thick JEDEC
waffle pack trays in an exchangeable cassette and supplies them as required. The placement ma-
chine can therefore be supplied with different component types at variable changeover times.
