1.2.6 Mark Data
Ther fiducial mark data can be edited.
(1) Code
The mark codes correspond to the code Nos. of the fiducial marks
used in the P.E.C. and screen recognition functions.
10 types of mark codes can be registered for each pattern pro-
gram.
(2) Figure
The following options can be selected as shapes of fiducial marks.

(3) Size D1 and Size D2
Set the dimensions of fiducial marks.
Unit: mm
Refer to "Type and Size" in "(8) Fiducial Marks" for details.
(4) Rcg. Area
Set the recognition areas for the P.E.C. and screen recognition
functions.
Unit: mm
Set preferably small values to avoid false recognition and shorten
recognition time.

(5) Pol.
Set polarities of the mark patterns for images captured by the cam-
era.
Select either mode according to the difference in contrast between
a mark pattern and its surrounds to get a clear fiducial image.
Bright : Bright Fiducial/Dark Background
Dark : Dark Fiducial/Bright Background
Wrong mode selection causes malfunction of fiducial mark
recognition.

(6) Level
Set the threshold levels of the fiducial marks.
High : Both identity and similarity between the shape of a fidu-
cial mark and the real image are detected on a high level.
Middle : Either identity or similarity between the shape of a fidu-
cial mark and the real image are detected on a middle
level.
Low : Both identity and similarity between the shape of a fidu-
cial mark and the real image are detected on a low level.
Identity:
Identity between the shapes of the specified mark and the
real image (including the size)
Similarity:
Similarity between the shapes of the specified mark and
the real image
(7) Lighting
A lighting mode can be specified to illuminate the P.C.B.
Only “Normal” can be selected for the standard machine (stan-
dard specifications).
.
Normal
Select this when there is enough difference in contrast between a
fiducial mark and a P.C.B. (Recognition by Pattern Matching
Method)
