14.1.4.6 Command Area, Section "Actions"
The "Actions" section of the command area (see Fig. 14.1.1) contains the commands for the manipulation of
jobs. In the following, function and execution of the individual commands are explained.
For the execution of the commands, the same procedure is always to be followed
(with the exception of the "Move" command):
Activate the icon for the respective command by clicking on it.
If several jobs are to be selected, click on them successively using the right mouse button, only
the last
job is to be clicked on with the left mouse button.
To deselect any accidentally selected jobs, the right mouse button is to be used as well.
Or,
to select an individual job, click on it directly using the left mouse button.
The action (command) is started.
During or after an action, entries are automatically made in the "Js" column (see Fig. 14.1.1) behind the
selected jobs. Their meaning is as follows:
R = status after a job has been inserted or changed, or after a scheduled job has
been interrupted
tP = job is being checked for "Producibility"
P = job is being checked for "Producibility" with "Schedule" selected
aP = job is automatically being checked for "Producibility" with option "Auto-schedule ON"
selected
S = denotes that a job has been scheduled for processing
pP = job is being checked for "Producibility" and "Prior. schedule" has been activated
for this job
bP = while a job is being checked for producibility through "triggering" of a new barcode
eS = if a job has been scheduled by means of "Prior.schedule"
I = for as long as the production of a scheduled job has been aborted by "Interrupt"
- (Producibility)
A selected job is checked for "Producibility". I.e. the postprocessor "NU-Compile" is started, NU-Com-
pile starts "RS-Compile"; RS-Compile starts "MA-Compile". All data required for this job are thus chek-
ked or newly generated. If the result of the producibility check for the selected job is negative (i.e. it
cannot be processed) an "E" is entered in front of this job in the column "E" (see Fig. 14.1.1).
- (Schedule)
A selected job can be scheduled for processing. In the event of "schedule" the job concerned is chek-
ked for "producibility" prior to being passed to the machine controller. In the station controller the pre-
selected job is added to the end of the list of jobs to be processed.

NOTE
If the results of a producibility check of a "scheduled" job are positive, the main window of the Set-up
Modification Generator is opened automatically (see Fig. 14.4.2) if the existing set-up on the stations of
the line differs from the one required for the assembly of the PCB concerned.
By selecting a station of the line and actuating the button Set-up modification (see description in
section 14.4.4.2) the operator obtains a display of the set-up changeover to be carried out on the station
selected. In this way the operator can be provided with the appropiate changeover instruction for each
individual station and the set-up changeover can then be accomplished accordingly. When set-up chan-
geover has been completed on all stations, the operator selects the individual stations of the line and
clicks on the button Set-up modified to confirm completion of the set-up changeover in each case.
After all stations have been confirmed, the window of the Set-up Modification Generator is closed. The
main window of Job Control reappears as the topmost window on the screen.
- (Interrupt)
The production of a scheduled job can be interrupted using this command.
The ongoing assembly of the PCBs at the individual stations is completed, and the PCBs are con-
veyed to the output belt. The job is retained in the job list under the same name. During the time the
job is interrupted it is identified by an "I" referring to "Interrupted", thereafter it resumes the status "R"
referring to "Ready". It can now be re-scheduled. When so doing it must be noted that the counter rea-
dings are not taken into account, i.e. counting starts from zero. Before a different job can be schedu-
led, the line must be cleared of any PCBs first!
NOTE
Selected jobs are interrupted immediately
if the "Delete without confirm." option is set. If the option
"Delete with confirmation" is set, a dialog box with the question "Do you want to interrupt the selected
entries?" appears. Here, the action can be triggered by clicking on Yes, or else the action can be
aborted by clicking on No.

- (Move)
The order in which jobs appear on the list can be shifted.
Activate the icon.
Click on the job to be moved with the right mouse button.
The job is highlighted.
Click on the job below which the job to be moved is to be inserted with the left mouse button.
NOTE
It is also possible to move several jobs simultaneously. They are inserted below the job selected with
the left
mouse button in the same order they were previously selected by means of the right mouse
button.
- (Delete)
A job can be deleted from the job list. The assembly of the PCBs still on the line will not be completed.
The line must be cleared of PCBs before the new job is started!
NOTE
Selected jobs are deleted immediately
if the option "Delete without confirmation" is set. If the option
"Delete with confirmation" is set, a dialog box with the question "Do you want to delete the selected
entries?" appears. Here, the action can be triggered by clicking on Yes, or else the action can be
aborted by clicking on No.
- (Merge)
If this command is activated, the FSB containing the list of the defined lot files opens.
Lot files selected from this list can be integrated into the job list. Depending on the setting of the option
"Insert", they are inserted at the start or the end of the list, or with a mouse-click.
