NOTE
The conveyor width can only be adjusted in increments of 1/10 mm so that only the first digit after the
decimal point of the entered value will be taken into account.
In the case of a standard single conveyor, the value for the new width is entered in the "Conveyor
width (track 1)" editing field.
In the case of a dual conveyor, the "Conveyor width (track 1)" editing field applies to the right
conveyor lane, and the "Conveyor width (track 2)" editing field to the left conveyor lane.
Different widths can be set for the two conveyor lanes of a dual conveyor.
If the Width adj. upon cluster change button is activated, deactivate the same by clicking on it.
Click on OK in the dialog box for the data to be accepted.
A dialog box containing the query "Is line xx empty?" appears.
If the line is empty, click on OK.
The new conveyor width is passed on to the Line Control thus activating the width adjustment
mechanism. (Clicking on "Abort" causes the action to be aborted).
- Activating the Width Adjustment Upon Cluster Change
The automatic adjustment of the required conveyor width upon changing over to a new PCB type can
be activated by means of a button contained in the "Conveyor width" dialog box (see above).
Click on the Width adj. upon cluster change button.
NOTE
The required conveyor width is read in from the cluster data of the new PCB type and is auto-mati-
cally adjusted by means of the width adjustment function.
When changing over to the barcode operating mode, the "Width adj. upon cluster change" button
must be deactivated.
Click on OK in the dialog box for the data to be accepted.
(When "Cancel" is clicked on, the action is aborted).
- Set UFO strategy for the current subline
You can select between the UFO strategies "Pass-through" and "Remove".
Click on the button next to the desired "strategy"..
If the "Pass-through" option is selected, the "UFO PCB" (see description in section 14.2.1) is
conveyed through the line without being processed and must be removed at the end of the line.
If the "Remove" option is selected the PCB must be removed at the end of the station.
NOTE
Only when the button Data transfer is clicked on will the new UFO strategy data be sent to the Line
control.

Software Version 501.xx 01/99 Issue 14.3 Station Controllers
14 - 33
14.3 Station Controllers
Job Control sends jobs to the station controllers of the required stations.
Each physical station has been assigned a station controller supplying the station with machine data, setup
data and placement data and controlling the processes performed at the stations. The data are transmitted to
the stations by the Data Manager via an IEC bus.
The station controller’s user interface provides the operator with the following information:
- current station data
- job allocation
- logged-on PCBs
14.3.1 Tasks
The station controllers are designed to synchronize the user entries at the Job Control with the processes
performed on the stations so that, at the appropriate instant
- setup changeover is initiated
- and the placement data are loaded.
14.3.2 Features
Jobs (batches) are allocated to the station controller by a job control.
- Several jobs can be allocated to a station controller at once.
Active are: without barcode ---> the first lot
with barcode ---> n-lots of the same setup
- Each station controller is allocated to one physical station.
- The station controller allows the handling of "high-priority" jobs.
