Untreated magazine
loading: overhead
conveyor
a) Identify overhead conveyor at the magazine
loading area.
b) Ensure magazine is loaded and conveyor is
moving magazine until reach magazine present
sensor.
Conveyor assembly
functionality
a) Ensure conveyor move smoothly.
b) Check any slacking belt if the conveyor
movement is abnormal.
c) Check for motor overheating systems due to
overload or efficiency defects.
Sensor
a) The sensor should trigger output when it
detects the object under its sensing area.
b) Check the sensor sensing area, location,
orientation, and gap distance for any inaccurate
alignment issues.
c) Check the sensor surface for any foreign debris
or liquid, or damage.
d) Check voltage or amperage status along the
wire to the related sensor.
e) If power is supplied, check the sensor output
signal by placing a metal surface close to the
sensing surface.
f) If power is supplied, but no output signal from
the sensor, contact March for assistance.
g) If no power is supplied, contact March for
assistance.

Jammed magazine or
strip
a) Identify any jammed parts.
b) Ensure the required magazine is loaded
smoothly.
c) Ensure the magazine position inside the gripper
is firm.
Jammed part
a) The sensor should trigger output when it
detects the object under its sensing area.
b) Example of jammed parts: pneumatic cylinder
rod position extends or retracts.
c) If the cylinder does not successfully
extend/retract to its designated position, the
flag will not trigger the sensor output when
required by the PLC logic. This will trigger a
sensor TIME OUT! error when the affected
sensor response time ends.
d) Identify any jammed/loosen mechanisms that
cause the cylinder rod positioning fault. Clear or
rectify the faulty area.

All
stations
Axis mechanism parts
Identify axis components such as motor, belt,
gear, and driver.
Motor driver
a) Ensure motor driver is functioning normally and
no extreme heat is produced.
b) Check error code triggered by motor driver
dedicated unit display.
c) Check the alignment of the motor actuator or
mechanism of motor moving area. Ensure
motor is running smoothly and without any
objects present in the station.
d) Check the motor cable. Change the cable if
there is damage to the cable in motor moving
area.
Gears and belt
a) Ensure motor rotating power can handle and
transfer the load smoothly.
b) Ensure the motor is actuated without abnormal
sound.
c) Ensure the belt condition is good, without
excessive wear and tear.
d) Ensure the belt tension is good.

Axis position
Reposition over travel axis back to the home
position in manual mode.
Axis limit sensor
a) Identify the limit sensors slot along the axis
lane.
b) Identify the axis travel flag.
c) Ensure sensor sensing slot or window is clear
from any debris.
d) Ensure the sensor position is correct.
