(5) Check the surroundings of the machine and confirm safety before start-
ing the automatic operation.
CAUTION
Check carefully that there is no person around
the moving mechanisms of the machine.
(Especially, the other side of machine opera-
tion)
Make sure that no objects remain within the
moving mechanisms of the machine.

(6) Open the “AUTO OPN. MODE (PLACEMENT)” display and check the
origin marks “”.
Note: When “” marks do not appear beside the devices other than
“INPUT MACHINE”, the automatic operation cannot be started.
When “” marks appear beside the devices other than “IN-
PUT MACHINE”, proceed to Step (8).
When “” marks do not appear beside some devices other than
“INPUT MACHINE”, proceed to Step (7).
(7) Press the [ZERO] button.
The “” marks appear beside all devices except for “INPUT MA-
CHINE”.
(8) Press the [START] button.
Work requirement and ready signals are sent to the input machine side.
When the input machine is set ready for operation, it receives the work
requirement signal from the main machine and right after that, P.C.B.’s
start flowing into the input machine and the automatic operation
(“PASS” mode) starts.
When the input machine is not set ready, the machine is set in the
“WAIT” mode.
When the automatic operation (“PASS” mode) starts, all origin marks
” disappear and the LED (-HD01) of the [START] button and the
tower light (green) illuminate.

7.3 Stop Procedure
7.3.1 General Stop Procedure
Press the [STOP] or the [PAUSE] button.
The operation stops.
7.3.2 Automatic Stop Procedure
Stop the input machine.
The machine processes all P.C.B.’s on the system line, discharges them, and
stops running automatically.
Notes: (a) When “ENABLE” is set in the “AUTO STOP MODE” at the
“P.C.B. TRANSFER MODE SET-UP” display, the automatic op-
eration stops automatically. (Hierarchical Sequence: “DEVICE
DATA” “P.C.B. TRANSFER MODE SET-UP” Display)
(b) When a machine of another brand is connected to the system line,
this function may not work.
7.3.3 Emergency Stop Procedure
To stop the machine immediately in an emergency, press one of the [EMER-
GENCY STOP] buttons.
Power to the loads is shut off and the machine stops running instantaneously.
Refer to “7.5.2 Reset and Start Procedure from Emergency Stop of Section
2” for details on how to reset the machine from emergency stop.
7.4 Possible Operations during Automatic Operation
In the case of the automatic operation (PASS), the possible operations are the
same as the automatic operation (placement).
Refer to “6.5 Operational Displays during Automatic Operation of Section 2”
for details.

7.5 Emergency Stop
7.5.1 Cause and Symptom of Emergency Stop
Cause
The machine stops immediately when the [EMERGENCY STOP] button is
pressed.
The machine stops immediately when the supplied air pressure drops.
The machine stops immediately when a circuit breaker (circuit breaker used
for P.C.B. positioning, the vacuum pump, the control DC power supply,
etc.) related to the system and placement is shut off.
The machine stops immediately when the power for the communication line
(remote I/O) is not supplied.
Symptom
The [POWER ON] button turns red, indicating that the power for the loads
is shut off.
(When the circuit breaker is shut off, the LED of the [POWER ON] button
(-HD50) may extinguish without turning red.)
