4. Machine Protection Sensors
4.1 Lifted Feeder Detection Sensors
These sensors are used to prevent any machine operation (to protect the ma-
chine) when a tape feeder is not installed correctly.

When one of these sensors is turned off (E/NR: Light Emitted
and Not Received), the following measures are taken.
•
The power to drive both X/Y beams (Sides A beam and B
beam) is shut off.

4.2 Lifted Nozzle Detection Sensors
These sensors are used to protect the placement heads when a vacuum nozzle
is jerked out of the nozzle stocker while the X/Y beam is moving.

4.3 Beam Approach Detection Sensor
This sensor is used to detect that both X/Y beams are abnormally approaching
and protect the X/Y beam.
4.4 Stationary Position Stopper Detection Sensors
These sensors are used to check whether the stationary position stopper of the
X/Y beam has moved back during X/Y beam movement and the X/Y beam is
set ready to be moved.

taken.
•
The power to drive the pertinent up/down axis is shut
off.
4.5 Excessively Inserted Nozzle Detection Sensors
These sensors are used to protect the placement heads when a vacuum nozzle
is inserted excessively due to a mistake in the pattern program.
