• Global Skip Mark Usage
If the global skip mark is present (the machine detects a global skip mark), the machine
proceeds to read all the block skip marks and skips blocks as necessary.
If the global skip mark is not present (the machine does not detect a global skip mark),
the machine proceeds with the placing of parts on all the blocks without reading the
block skip mark of each block.
• Proper Data Settings
It is necessary to make the following Proper data settings to enable the global skip
mark function.
11. Machine_Status A: ???? ???? X??? ????
X: "1" to enable the global skip function
X: "0" to disable the global skip function
• The following restrictions apply when using the global skip function.
It is not possible to skip or cancel the global skip mark (skip mark with block 0) at the
machine using commands. If the Proper data item "Machine_Status A" is set to "0" (at
the bit indicated above) and a production program including a global skip mark is
used, the machine still reads the specified global skip mark area, however the global
skip mark is not processed.
If multiple global skip marks have been set, the first mark is the mark which is treated
as the global skip mark. Any global skip marks after this are ignored.
(4) Board Check Function Using Block Skip Marks
If there is even one block skipped as a result of block skip mark recognition, the XY-table
will move to the loading position and the RESET button will be enabled. When the
RESET button is enabled, the block skip board can be replaced or cleared off.
After RESET is pressed the START button will be enabled. If the START button is then
pressed, fiducial mark and block skip mark acquisition will start again from the
beginning.
This function is premised on the idea that several small boards are loaded on a pallet and
that one board is considered as a block. In addition, if board replacement is carried out
after the machine stops, it must be possible for a board to be replaced with the pallet in
the clamped status. This is not necessary if a board is cleared off.
This is an optional function. It can be enabled by setting the third bit in the Proper data
item Machine_Status_A to “1”.
Machine_Status_A ???? ???? ???? ?1??
If even one block is skipped as a result of block skip mark recognition, the following
screen will be displayed.

If all blocks are skipped then only the following message will display.
“All Block Skip”
Skipped blocks can be verified on the screen shown above. If there are more than 40
blocks the blocks can be verified by pressing F1 and F2.
Precautions
• Activation of this option is limited to cases where the block skip board is to be
replaced and reused. Of course it must be possible for the block to be replaced. Since
a block on a multi-block board cannot be replaced, this function would serve no
purpose even if it was enabled.
• If this option has been enabled the block skip board must either be replaced or cleared
off with the pallet. If the board is removed without being replaced, operation cannot
be guaranteed. Since what will happen as a result of block skip mark recognition for a
block on a pallet on which there is no board can be determined, it is possible that parts
will be placed in the area where there is no board.
• If a block is skipped using the block skip command on the machine the skip status will
not be cleared even if RESET is pressed. However, the block skip status will be cleared
for a block that is skipped as a result of block skip mark recognition. If the block skip
command on the machine is executed while block skip mark acquisition is in progress
then those blocks that have been skipped up to that point as a result of block skip
mark recognition will not be cleared either even if RESET is pressed.

(5) Reacquisition When All Block Skip Marks are Skipped
The use of an additional condition for distinguishing whether reacquisition is to be
performed or not is determined based on the Proper data item setting 11.
Machine_Status_A ???? ???? ??1? ???? (?: 0 or 1).
11. Machine_Status_A ???? ???? ??1? ???? (?: 0 or 1)
If all block skip marks that have been read are judged as skipped, this will result in a
machine cycle stop.
If the machine is then restarted the block skip marks will be read again.
Execute the loader command to clear off the board. (This is left up to the operator after
the machine stops.)
The following message will display after the machine stops.
“Certify to B_mark!!”
Precautions
If the board check function using block skip marks is specified, this function check will
take precedence over reacquisition of block skip marks when all block skip marks are
skipped.
1.19.3 Block Skip Specifications
The specifications of the block skip function are as follows:
• Block Number Restrictions
Block numbers can be set from 0 to 255.
• Managing the Skip Sequence in the Program
When a skip sequence is set in the program using the host computer’s editor, all block,
device and sequence skips are effective. Moreover, the skip sequence cannot be
canceled at the machine.
• Marks Permissible On One Board
Including fiducial marks, a maximum of 255 marks are permissible.
• Block Skip Mark Restrictions
Size: Set in host computer
Mark color: The mark should contrast with the board color so that the camera can
read it easily.
Location: Same as fiducial marks
• Conditions Under Which Block Skip Marks Are Read
When the letter "B" has been entered into the sequence data device type (W) column,
the machine looks for block skip marks.
• Conditions Under Which Block Skip Is Carried Out
An area of a certain size (Size_X, Size_Y) centered around the coordinate location is
inspected. If all this area matches the color specified for the block skip mark, the
corresponding block is skipped.
