1.1 Emergency Stop Errors
The following errors cause an emergency stop which stops all
servo axes instantly and cuts the power.
Correct the cause and resume operation.
Emergency SW Pressed
[Cause]: EMERGENCY STOP button has been pressed.
[Remedy]: Reset the EMERGENCY STOP button.
Thermal Alarm
[Cause]: A motor thermal relay has been tripped.
[Remedy]: Check every axis motor, the vacuum pump, and the ringblow to ensure
that nothing is overloaded.
Servo Amp Alarm: X, D1, D2
[Cause]: There is a problem in servo box 1 with the X-, D1- or D2-axis servo
amplifier.
[Remedy] Check the D1- and D2-axis servo amplifiers.
Servo Amp Alarm: C, Q, Y, Z, NC
[Cause]: There is a problem in servo box 2 with the C-, FQ-, FRQ-, Y-, Z-, or NC-axis
servo amplifier .
[Remedy]: Check each of the servo amplifiers mentioned above.
Safety Door, Front
Safety Door, Rear
Safety Door 1
Safety Door 2
[Cause] Either the front door is open or one of the electric beams at the rear of the
machine has been interrupted.
[Remedy]: Close the door or remove the impeding object.
[Note]: For machines other than those that meet IEC regulations, opening one of
the safety doors causes the D-axis to make an emergency stop while all
other axes will make a cycle stop (standard settings prior to shipment).
However, when no placing operations are carried out all axes will make an
emergency stop.
Shutter 1 Alarm
Shutter 2 Alarm
[Cause]: One of the shutters will not lower.
[Remedy]: Check for obstructions in the shutter’s path, the solenoid valve, upper and
lower limit sensors, or for irregular operation.

Not at Loading Position
[Cause]: The XY-table was not in the loading position when an attempt to raise the
lifter was made.
[Remedy]: Move the XY-table to the loading position.
Lifter at Upper Limit
[Cause]: Lifter is up and the XY-table is not able to move.
[Remedy]: Lower the lifter.
Loader Interlock ON <except CP-643>
[Cause]: Board is not feeding normally and the interlock is ON.
[Remedy]: Check the Proper data (Loading Position X,Y) to see that the values are
correct.
Lifter Timeout UP/DN
[Cause]: The lifter has taken too much time to move up or down.
[Remedy]: Check for items interfering with lifter movement, upper and lower limit
sensors or the solenoid valve.
Tape Feeder
Tape Feeder 18ST
[Cause]: The tape feeder has not been set properly or a tape feeder alarm has
occurred.
[Remedy]: Set the tape feeder properly.
Cycle Alarm: Rough + X, Y, Z, D1, D2
Cycle Alarm: Reach + FRQ, FR, X, Y, Z, D1, D2, NC
Cycle Alarm <R>: Reach + FRQ, FR, NC
[Cause]: The named servo axis did not reach its target position within the set time
limit.
[Remedy]: Check the hardware.
Cam Axis Alarm
[Cause]: In automatic operation the cam does not operate properly.
[Remedy]: Check for obstructions.
*AX + Servo Not Ready
[Cause]: Servo board will not start.
[Remedy]: Turn the power off and then back on again.
*AX + Servo Command Error
[Cause]: An invalid command was used.
[Remedy]: Press the RESET button. If the error occurs again, try replacing the servo
board in question. Also check that all connectors to the servo board are
firmly attached.
*AX + Servo Parameter Error
[Cause]: Servo parameters are incorrect.
[Remedy]: Press the RESET button. If the error occurs again, try replacing the servo
board in question. Also check that all connectors to the servo board are
firmly attached.
