Press to alternate between the 3 possible table modes (joint, device change and changeover).
• Joint mode: The two tables move jointly to essentially form one table with 140
devices.
• Device change mode: One device table is used as the spare table.
• Changeover mode: Only one table operates at any one time. Each table operates for a
separate program.

MCS: Press to toggle the communication mode with the host computer between the following
two settings:
Local: Only Status data, Proper data and programs can be sent from the host
computer.
Off Line: The CP-643E can send production data to the host computer.
Note : The communication mode setting is saved when the power supply is turned off. The
communication mode can also be changed by changing the status data.
GEM: This command only displays when the SECS/GEM communication protocol is used.
Refer to the CP-6 SECS/GEM Instruction Manual for details.

Caution: When the cell status is changed it is also necessary to change the LMS data. Once this is done the
LMS must be shut down and rebooted. Furthermore, if this key is pressed it is necessary to shut
down the power to the machine and reboot in order to initialize the machine too.

Press to clear the contents of changeover memory. If for some reason changeover is interrupted
before completion, this key can be pressed to return to the original status.
Caution: When in HELPS compatible operation, changeover status is stored in memory when the power is cut,
so care should be taken not to press this key when it is not necessary. Furthermore, if this key is
pressed it is necessary to shut down the machine and reboot in order to initialize the machine.
