2.2 Nozzle types
To ensure stable component pickup, the correct nozzle that matches the
component must be used. The table below shows typical nozzles which can
be attached to each head.
Reference
To check the component types that can be picked up by each nozzle, refer to “Nozzle
table” listed in the supplement at the end of this manual.
On the standard YV180X, five types of nozzles (Types 71A to 74A and
76A) can be chosen and attached to all heads (Heads 1 to 8).
On the YV180X head assembly with optional FNC (flying nozzle change)
functions, Heads 2, 4, 6 and 8 accept FNC nozzles (Types 71F, 72F, 73F)
for flying nozzle change.

Type A nozzles
Type A nozzles (Types 71A to 74A and 76A) can be attached to all heads
of standard 8 in-line head assemblies or Heads 1, 3, 5 and 7 of FNC head
assemblies.
To attach a Type A nozzle, insert the nozzle between the nozzle holder leaf
springs while aligning the nozzle grip piece with the leaf springs. To
remove the nozzle from the nozzle holder, gently pull it downwards.

Type F nozzles (Flying nozzles)
Heads 2, 4, 6 and 8 of FNC head assemblies have a flying nozzle changer
that performs automatic nozzle change at high speeds. Type F nozzles
(Types 71F, 72F and 73F) are specifically used with this flying nozzle
changer.
