Insertion pusher and insertion chuck
timing check
1. Turn the hand wheel and observe the insertion
pusher as it lowers. Check the pusher opens
approximately 2 mm before it stops.

Insertion chuck opening timing:
199−201q
The insertion chuck opens when pusher
roll pin has risen 3 to 5 mm.
Guide chuck and insertion pusher
timing check
1. Again, turn the hand wheel checking the angle
at which the guide pin starts lowering (230q on
the digital sequence opens approximately 15q
before the pin lowers (insertion pusher is in the
lowered position).
=REFERENCE=
Guide chuck opening timing: 213−215q
Insertion pusher timing check
1. Check that the insertion pusher lowers
simultaneously as the guide pusher starts
lowering. Also, check that pin high pressure
comes ON at 270q on the digital sequence
timer.
=REFERENCE=
x Pressure shuts OFF when parts start their
return.
x Pusher high pressure timing has three
patterns.

Transfer chuck timing adjustment
1. If the transfer chuck does not open at the
86q position on the digital sequencer timer,
adjust the tranfer chuck opening/closing
cam.
=CHECK=
Be sure to check the timing in SEMI
mode.

T ransfer chuck close timing: 264−266q

1. If the insertion chuck does not close at a
position between 81q and 83q and the
transfer chuck does not open between 85q
and 87q on the digital sequencer timer,
loosen bolt A from the insertion chuck cam
on the upper drive unit. Then, turn the cam
to adjust timing.
Guide chuck opening/closing
timing adjustment
1. If the guide chuck does not open
approximately 15q before the guide pin starts
lowering , loosen bolt A from the guide chuck
cam of the main drive unit. Then, turn the
cam to adjust timing.

Insertion pusher timing adjustment
1. If the pusher high pressure does not turn ON,
reset timing so that SC22 turns ON at 280q and
OFF at 312q.
=CHECK=
x Before resetting the digital sequence
timer, set the mode to MANUAL 1 BLOCK
without fail.
x Select EDIT before changing angles.
x SC22 is the pusher high pressure timing
at low speed only.
The high pressure timing depends on the
speed as follows:
Medium speed (0.45 sec):
SC30, ON: 270 q, OFF: 312q
High speed (0.36 sec):
SC31, ON: 265 q, OFF: 312q
