8.3.3 System Backup Data Recovery
If a data backup has been performed on the XP machine, it is possible to restore the data
to the status which existed at the time the backup occurred. After all the copied files
have been processed (see previous page), a dialog box displays to recover the system
backup data.
Procedure
1. Insert the “system backup data disk” in the floppy drive and press [OK] to copy
the backup data. If no backup data is available, press [Cancel] to skip this backup
data recovery step.
If the wrong user backup disk has been inserted, an error dialog box displays
when [OK] is pressed. An error message also displays if the inserted “system
backup data disk” is for a machine type other than that specified prior to copying
the application disks. If this error dialog box displays, press [OK] to return to the
"system backup data recovery" dialog box.
2. If the correct system backup data disk has been inserted, the following backup
data version dialog box displays when [OK] is pressed.
3. Press [Yes] to copy the user backup disk data and perform the recovery.
Press [No] to display a separate backup data recovery dialog box. To skip the
system backup data recovery step, press [Cancel].

8.3.4 Copying Boot Parameters
As the XP machine cannot be booted up without the proper boot parameters data, the
boot parameters must be set. In this step, the default boot parameters will be copied to
enable XP machine boot up.
The following dialog box displays after the system backup data recovery step, inquiring
if boot parameters are to be copied.
Press [OK] to copy the default boot parameter settings.
Press [Cancel] to skip this boot parameter copying step.
8.3.5 Rebooting
When the user backup data recovery operation is completed, the following "recovery
complete" dialog box displays.
Remove the disk from the floppy disk drive. Press [OK] to shut down and restart the XP
machine.
