2. Corrective Measures for Error Messages that
Appear without an Error Code
In some cases, an error message will appear without a code (number). These error messages
are listed in alphabetical order of the first letter in the message.
“A value exists that could not be read correctly. Please set the proper data.”
Conditions: During the start up process, the machine may lock up with this message on the
touch panel. The touch panel will not respond, but clicking the OK button with
the mouse will open the Proper Data Editor.
Cause: Certain Proper data values could not be read properly.
Remedy: Follow the procedure for loading a backup file as explained in the remedy to the
error message, “Proper data doesn’t exist. Please set the Proper data”, or directly
enter the Proper data values using the Proper Data Editor.
“An unsupported machine type is set in the Proper data. Please set the Proper data”
Conditions: During the start up process, the machine may lock up with this message on the
touch panel. The touch panel will not respond, but clicking the OK button with
the mouse will open the Proper Data Editor.
Cause: A machine type that is not supported is specified in the Proper data.
Remedy: Follow the procedure for loading a backup file as explained in the remedy to the
error message, “Proper data doesn’t exist. Please set the Proper data”.
“Could not found language file.”
Conditions: During the start up process, the machine may lock up with this message on the
touch panel. The touch panel will not respond.
Cause: The multiple language message data could not be read, or some of the multiple
language message data has been deleted for an unknown reason.
Remedy: Use the recovery disks to restore the system.
“Illegal Proper data format. Please set the Proper data while referring to the upgrade manual.”
Conditions: During the start up process, the machine may lock up with this message on the
touch panel. The touch panel will not respond, but clicking the OK button with
the mouse will open the Proper Data Editor.
Cause: The Proper data could not be read because it is in the wrong format.
