5. Adjust the noise cut level.
Use the +Y and/or –Y key of the HOD to adjust the noise cut level around a
mark so that the mark can be viewed clearly, and the noise around the mark
can be reduced as much as possible. After finishing adjustment of the
noise cut level, press the ENTER key to confirm it.
6. Selecting a mark
The machine automatically judges and displays a mark. If the result has an
error, use the +Y and/or – Y key of the HOD to select a correct mark. After
selecting a correct mark, press the ENTER key to confirm the mark.
7. Adjusting the mark detecting range.
Use the direction key (+Y, -Y, +X and/or –X) to adjust the scale frame.
After adjustment of the scale frame, press the ENTER key to confirm the
frame.
Note: When you press the VAC ON/OFF key of the HOD, the machine
displays the previous setting screen.

8. When teaching has been completed, an message prompting you whether or not
perform registration appears for the operators confirmation.

To register the taught data, set the registration name.
The operator enters a registration name (up to 8 characters) or selects the
desired registration name from the ones in the list.
If any registration name has already been entered, it will be overwritten. If no
registration name has been entered, a new name will be registered.
Up to 10 marks can be registered.

1 OK Enters the registration name registers, the taught data in the mark recognition
database and then finishes the operation.,
2 Cancel Finishs the operation without registering the taught data in the database.
Here, All operations of recognition teaching have been completed.
After completing recognition teaching, an asterisk (*) appears next to the mark
data, indicating that the teaching of that item is complete. Perform the teaching
for all the marks to be used.
If the CANCEL key on the HOD is pressed during teaching, the teaching is
terminated at that moment. (The data entered before this operation will be
destroyed.)
When CANCEL key is pressed, no device is changed.

7.3.2 Teaching of the User Defined Template
The basic operation for teaching the template is explained as follows:
1. Move the cursor to the mark position whose data is to be taught.
Note that the X and Y coordinates of the mark must be entered before teaching
the recognition mark.

2 Press the CAMERA key of the HOD to start teaching operation with a camera.
The camera moves to the XY-coordinates of the mark at this point, and the
selected mark appears on the monitor screen. If no mark appears on the
monitor screen, check to see if the entered coordinates are correct.
If you do not select a camera as a teaching device, an error sound beeps, and
the machine cannot perform teaching recognition.
