1.2.3 Component feeder
The component feeder has two banks located at front and rear to sandwich the PWB
transport unit. It may be a tape, stick, or tray feeder depending on the applicable
component package.
The tape feeder or stick feeder is installed to the feeder bank to feed taped
components or ones in sticks.
Tray are supplied by a tray holder, or tray feeder is installed on the rear side.

The tape feeder loaded with taped components, bulk feeder, and stick feeder
loaded with components in sticks are positioned and secured by the fixing plate

2. Tape feeder parts identification
The tape feeder uses a tape whose width is 8 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 24 mm, or 32
mm to supply components.
