5.3.9 Referencing modules
Referencing must always be carried out in the following cases:
After a breakdown of the CAN motors power supply
after pressing the emergency STOP
after a power failure
after switching off the main switch
after an adjustment
NOTE
Are any changes possible?
The [Module properties] user rights are required to access this dialog. Settings can
only be displayed if no name and password are logged in. In this case, press the [ESC]
key on your keyboard, or click on the [Cancel] button when a password is required.
For referencing, you must open the input dialog of the relevant modules. When ref-
erencing, the relevant reference limit switches are approached and the appropriate
module is referenced.
ü Should this not be possible, or referencing fail:
a) Identify the cause of the error in the [Messages] input dialog.
b) Correct the error, then acknowledge the message.
c) Carry out referencing again.
ü How to reference a module:
a) Set the machine to the [Maintenance mode] operating mode.
b) In the start dialog, open the settings dialogs of the module to be referenced:

5.3.9.1 Referencing the fluxer module
ü To reference the fluxer module, proceed as follows:
a) In the start dialog in the [Fluxing] frame, click on the symbol of the flux module.
ð The [Flux unit] inpput dialog is opened.
b) In the [Special positions] frame, click on the
button to start the referencing
process.
ð The process has now been completed.
NOTE
The travel movement requires a certain amount of time.
a) In the meantime, do not perform any inputs.
b) During referencing, the
symbol is displayed next to a moving axis in the setting
dialog.
ü Checking the X and Y positions:
a) Compare the actual values with the entered set values.
b) Readjust any deviation Then repeat referencing.

ð If the actual values correspond to the entered set values, referencing is com-
plete
5.3.9.2 Referencing the soldering module
ü To reference the soldering module, proceed as follows:
a) In the start dialog in the [Soldering] frame, click on the symbol of the soldering
module.
ð The [Soldering unit 1 Solder pot 1] input dialog is opened.
b) In the [Special positions] frame, click on the
button to start the referencing
process.
c) Repeat the procedure with all available soldering modules.
d) The process has now been completed.
NOTE
The travel movement requires a certain amount of time.
a) In the meantime, do not perform any inputs.
b) During referencing, the
symbol is displayed next to a moving axis in the setting
dialog.

ð The [Conveyor width adjustment] input dialog is opened.
b) In the [Special positions] frame, click on the
button.
ð The referencing process is started.

a) In the meantime, do not perform any inputs.
b) During referencing, the
symbol is displayed next to a moving axis in the setting
dialog.
a) Measure the actual distance between the two conveyor rails and compare the
result with the displayed actual value. If the measured value does not corres-
pond with the displayed value, the width adjustment must be adjusted.
