1.2 Information about this manual
1.2.1 General information about the operating manual
The purpose of this OM is to fully inform the operator of the machine mentioned
on the cover sheet about the purchased product, its installation and commission-
ing, general machine functions, malfunctions and their removal, maintenance as
well as spare and wearing parts. To prevent damage to people or the machine, the
operating and service personnel must have read and understood the OM before
the first commissioning.
The manufacturer/supplier cannot be held liable for any damage or failure resulting
from non-observance.
DANGER
Personal injury or material damage due to the machine inadequate service and im-
proper operation!
a) The people who are in charge of assembly, commissioning, operation and/or
maintenance in the machine owner's plant must have read and understood the
entire operating instructions and in particular the "Safety Instructions" Chapter.
b) Nevertheless, the machine owner must appoint one person on its plant who is re-
sponsible for the machine described in this manual. This person must be well
versed in the field of soldering!
1.2.2 For your safety
Ersa products are developed, produced and tested in compliance with the basic
safety requirements.
Nevertheless, residual risks still exist!
For this reason, please read this operating manual before operating the machine
for the first time. The operating manual helps you master all the functions and use
them optimally.

a) Each person who is in charge of assembly, commissioning, operation and/or main-

tions must also be complied with!
d) Always keep these instructions near the machine, in a place accessible to all users
at any time!

Specific information or requirements and prohibitions for the prevention of per-
sonal injury or property damage are shown in the manual with a pictogram, and are
complemented in the text by hierarchically graded, signal words in bold print:
