3.2.8 Exhaust air monitoring
5
The exhaust air monitoring (5) unit disables the machine as soon as the air quant-
ity falls below the set value on the switch. Information about the required suction
volume can be found in chapter Technical data [

3.2.9 Safety switch
6
Safety switches initiate the interruption of the working processes as soon as an ap-
propriately secured protection device (glass door, safety door) is opened:
Fluxer module:
If some soldering material is conveyed into the fluxer module, the fluxer con-
veyor continues to run until the soldering material has reached the stopper.
Then, the conveyor is stopped. The soldering material is not fluxed.
Should the soldering material be fluxed, this working process is immediately
stopped.
Preheating module:
If some soldering material is conveyed into the preheating module, the pre-
heater conveyor continues to run until the soldering material has reached the
stopper. Then, the conveyor is stopped. The soldering material is not pre-
heated.
If the soldering material is preheated, the preheater remains active until the
solder material has been completely processed in the preheating module.
Then, the preheater is turned off.
Soldering module:
If some soldering material is conveyed into the soldering module, the soldering
conveyor continues to run until the soldering material has reached the stopper.
Then, the conveyor is stopped. The soldering material is not soldered. The
solder wave is disabled, the solder pot heating remains on!
Should the soldering material be soldered, this working process is immediately
stopped. The solder wave is disabled, the solder pot heating remains on!
Despite this, there are still some residual risks!
DANGER
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine! Hot pot containing molten metal!
The entire machine is hot during operation and contains liquid metal! When the safety
doors are opened, the solder pot heating remains on! The preheaters cool slowly off
and may be still dangerously hot!
a) Service on the hot machine may only be carried out by specially trained staff,
qualified for this type of work! For these types of work, a company internal oper-
ating procedure for protective clothing is to be issued!
b) You should always take into account the possibility for metal to spray out!

3|For your safety
Behaviour of the machine when closing the protection device:
Acknowledge the corresponding message on the machine control terminal after
closing the protection device! The machine will only restart after acknowledging
the corresponding message.
NOTE
The automatic start of the conveyor is possible!
In certain situations, the conveyors can restart automatically after closing the protec-
tion device. For example, if the soldering material has not been completely fluxed, it is
conveyed out of the machine immediately after closing the protection device. This
does not pose any immediate danger to the user.
With respect to this, please read Chapter Operation of the modules, module main-
tenance [}242].
