WARNING
Risk of death or severe injuries due to flammable materials! Fire hazard!
ü When performing any operation, observe the following safety rules:
a) The machine suction system must be switched on!
b) Read the safety data sheets of the flux material manufacturer!
c) Let the preheaters cool down: The temperature of the preheater must be clearly
below the flux material ignition temperature (also called self ignition point)!
d) Before applying the wrist earthing strap, make sure that it works properly!
e) Apply the wrist earthing strap and connect it to the equipotential bonding of the
machine!
f) Fill any removable flux material tanks outside the machine!
g) Remove immediately any spilled flux material and make sure that the room is suf-
ficiently ventilated. Restart the machine only after removing any residues!
CAUTION
Personal injury or material damage due to irritant substances!
The fluxer system is under pressure!
a) Service and maintenance work may only be performed by qualified staff which
has been trained accordingly.
ð When working on the fluxer system:
b) First de-pressurize the system.
CAUTION
Wear protective clothing!
a) Wear a face mask and protective gloves!
8.2.5 Maintenance work at the soldering pot
WARNING
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine! Pot containing molten metal!
ü For any work being carried out, take the following safety precautions:
a) Service and cleaning work on hot pots must always be carried out by trained and
qualified personnel!
b) Create and follow an internal operating procedure for protective clothing!

WARNING
Electromagnetic fields!
Hazardous for people with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators!
a) In the soldering modules of this soldering system an electromagnetic pump is
used. During operation electromagnetic fields occur in the immediate area. Vul-
nerable people need to keep a minimum safe distance of 10 cm from the induc-
tion pump during its operation.
CAUTION
Fine dust may irritate the skin, respiratory tracks and mucous membranes!
Wear suitable protective clothing and use suitable tools!
ü Please observe the following notes:
a) Do not use a household vacuum cleaner! This device should fulfil the M device
classification (or a better one).
b) Switch on the machine suction unit!
c) Wear gloves, respiratory protection and protective glasses!
d) Do not smoke, eat or drink!
e) Dispose of the dusts environmentally compatible!
8.2.6 Before service and maintenance work
CAUTION
Accident risk!
ü Before starting service work:
a) Never carry out activities for which you are not qualified!
b) First read the [Safety instructions] chapter and become familiar with its content!
c) Wear protective equipment!
d) Keep the required tools and supplies ready!

8|Service and maintenance
WARNING
Machine malfunctioning is possible!
Personal injury or material damage due to the machine inadequate maintenance and
improper operation!
ü Maintenance work must be performed by trained and qualified staff only.
ü Carry out the maintenance and inspection activities recommended in this instruc-
tion manual.
a) First, read the section "Safety instructions"!
b) Comply with the specified maintenance intervals!
c) Inform the operating staff before servicing!
d) Wear suitable protective clothing for all types of work! Also, check personal pro-
tective equipment for cleanliness and functional efficiency! Do not use damaged
protective equipment, replace it with new items!
e) Before servicing, turn off the machine at the main switch, and secure the latter in
the "OFF" position with a padlock.
f) Lock the main control equipment and remove the key!
g) If service is to be carried out on a hot, ready-to-operate machine, this situation is
dealt with separately in this instruction manual.
h) Use spare parts, replacement parts and wear parts exclusively authorized by the
machine manufacturer!
i) Thoroughly clean the machine before starting work!
j) Re-tighten loosened screws after completing service! Install safety devices and
check for their proper operation!
k) Dispose of operating and auxiliary materials, cleaning agents, and replacement
parts properly and in an environmentally-friendly manner!
WARNING
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine!
ü The whole machine is hot during operation!
a) Service on a hot machine may only be carried out by specially trained personnel,
qualified for this type of work!
b) For safety's sake, let the machine cool down to a safe temperature.
DANGER
Possible serious injury or death!
a) Never disable safety devices!
CAUTION
Risk of injury from sharp edges and pointed parts!
Inside the machine there are sharp edges and pointed parts!
a) Maintenance work must be performed by trained and qualified staff only.
