Fig.142: Disassembling the nozzle plate. Always grasp locked extraction tools by the top handle (A)!
ü To disassemble the solder plate:
a) Drain the solder from the baffle frame (1). For this purpose, open the drain
screw (2) with the socket spanner (3).
b) Unbolt all bayonet locks (5) with the socket spanner. Align the bayonet screws
in such a way that the slots of the bolts (5) are parallel to the edges (6) of the
nozzle plate.
c) If necessary, convey any contaminants (oxides, dross) with a silicone brush (4)
into the solder bath.
ð If the solder runs out of the baffle frame:
d) Close the drain screw (2) again, remove the socket spanner (3).
e) Place and bolt the extraction tools (8) onto the nozzle plate and lock them.
ð Accident risk! Always grasp locked extraction tools by the top handle (A)!

Fig.143: Clean the nozzle plate. This figure shows only one nozzle (2). Your nozzle plate may have multiple nozzles of different
shapes.
ü To clean the nozzle plate:
ü Note: The parts coming into contact with solder are easier to clean while they
are still hot!
a) Clean all bayonet locks (3) and disc springs (4).
ð Bayonet locks and disc springs must be easy to move.
b) Clean the bottom (5) of the nozzle plate.
c) Clean sealing surfaces (6) with special care!
ð In case of dirty nozzles (2).
d) Clean all available nozzles (2) inside and outside.
e) Perform a visual inspection of the upper surface of the nozzle plate.
