4.1 Read this first!
4.1.1 Target readers group
These instructions are intended for people who use, adjust, operate or service the
machine.
DANGER
Personal injury or material damage due to inadequate maintenance and improper
operation of the machine!
ü Use only qualified personnel!
a) The machine transport, assembly, connection, commissioning, operation or main-
tainance by people who are not sufficiently qualified and informed can cause
severe damage to the machine or damage to people.
b) Such work may therefore only be performed by properly trained personnel! This
personnel must be able to recognize the hazards that can be caused by the sys-
tem mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment.
c) The people who carry out such work must know and have understood the con-
tents of these instructions.
d) Any person involved in the installation, commissioning, operation and/or main-
tenance of the machine must have read and understood the contents of the
"Safety instructions" chapter, as well as the chapters which are relevant for the
specific activity!
4.1.2 Supplementary documents

Supplementary documents
Supplementary documentation and service instructions are available for the machine
single modules. These documents can be found on the data carrier [product_data_se-
lective]; data carrier included in the delivery. Please refer to these documents if this
instruction manual does not provide sufficient information on a certain subject.
4.2 Transporting the machine
DANGER
Severe or fatal injury from falling load!
a) Transport work may only be performed by properly trained and qualified person-
nel!
b) Do not stand or walk below suspended loads!
c) Only use proper lifting equipment, suitable for the load!

a) Service and maintenance work may only be performed by qualified staff which
has been trained accordingly.
ð When transporting the machine:
b) Flux-reservoir must be completely emptied before transport.
CAUTION
Danger of being crushed by movement of the axis system during transportation of
the machine!
ü If the machine needs to be transported, secure the axis systems against moving.
a) Inserting transport locks on the axis system
CAUTION
Material damage is possible!
a) Avoid abruptly moving, bumping or putting down the machine!
b) Protect the machine from weather conditions (moisture, humidity, sea air, fog)! If
required, provide the machine with dehumidifying agent and air tight packaging.
4.3 Transporting the machine with built-in DIP soldering unit
CAUTION
Material damage during transport of the machine with filled DIP soldering unit!
ü If the machine is to be transported:
a) Have the solder be removed from the DIP soldering unit by properly trained staff!

4.4 Unloading the machine
4.4.1 Unloading with a forklift
The machine can be delivered in two packaging variants
– on a pallet
– in a crate.
The unloading process is identical for both variants. To learn the weight of the ma-
chine, please refer to chapter [Technical Data].

a) The forklift must meet the minimum requirements!
b) Lift the machine always in the center of gravity!

Transport the machine safely
ü Safe machine transport:
a) always lift the load in the middle of the centre of gravity.
ð The designated lifting points are provided with red markings.
b) Always use the marked lifting points to raise the machine!
