8.2 Read this first!
8.2.1 Nationally valid safety and accident prevention regulations
For any work performed on the machine itself or on its electric or pneumatic equip-
ment, locally applicable accident prevention, safety and environmental protection
regulations are to be observed.
8.2.2 Safe system operation
For your own safety, please observe the following notices
– Check the system at least once per shift for apparent damage, defects and
changes!
– In case of visible damage or defects, or if the system operating performance
has changed, turn off the machine, secure the system and notify the respons-
ible person!
– Tools or other objects which are not required for operating the system may
only be stored inside the machine if it has a special device for storing tools!
– Covers and box parts must not be used as storage area!
– Cleaning agents (e.g. liquids, pastes, gases or cloths) must not be stored inside
the machine.
8.2.3 For your safety
DANGER
Dangerous electrical voltage!
Serious injury or death from electric shock!
ü The emergency STOP pushbutton does not disconnect the machine power supply!
Individual parts of the system are energized even if the emergency stop pushbut-
ton has been activated!
a) Do not use the emergency STOP pushbutton to disconnect the machine from
voltage!
b) Always switch the machine off using the main switch.
8.2.4 Service work on the spray fluxer
For all service work on the spray fluxer, please observe the relevant safety regula-
tions. For fire protection, please read the Information on fire protection [
}42]

WARNING
Risk of death or severe injuries due to flammable materials! Fire hazard!
ü When performing any operation, observe the following safety rules:
a) The machine suction system must be switched on!
b) Read the safety data sheets of the flux material manufacturer!
c) Let the preheaters cool down: The temperature of the preheater must be clearly
below the flux material ignition temperature (also called self ignition point)!
d) Before applying the wrist earthing strap, make sure that it works properly!
e) Apply the wrist earthing strap and connect it to the equipotential bonding of the
machine!
f) Fill any removable flux material tanks outside the machine!
g) Remove immediately any spilled flux material and make sure that the room is suf-
ficiently ventilated. Restart the machine only after removing any residues!
CAUTION
Personal injury or material damage due to irritant substances!
The fluxer system is under pressure!
a) Service and maintenance work may only be performed by qualified staff which
has been trained accordingly.
ð When working on the fluxer system:
b) First de-pressurize the system.
CAUTION
Wear protective clothing!
a) Wear a face mask and protective gloves!
8.2.5 Maintenance work at the soldering pot
WARNING
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine! Pot containing molten metal!
ü For any work being carried out, take the following safety precautions:
a) Service and cleaning work on hot pots must always be carried out by trained and
qualified personnel!
b) Create and follow an internal operating procedure for protective clothing!
