In addition to the pictograms described above, we use the following symbols and
notations:

ü This symbol means: Prerequisite to avert a danger.
a) This symbol means: Measures to avert a danger.
An example:

ü Shorten service intervals, if necessary!
a) Service intervals in this manual refer to single shift operation! They are to be
shortened accordingly for multi-shift operation!
the operating instructions contain:

The operating instructions are structured as follows:
ü this symbol means: prerequisite for the implementation of a measure or
ü aim of a measure.
a) This symbol means: description of a measure.
